A look at Lee Corso's all-time headgear record when picking a Notre Dame game

The great Lee Corso is retiring after the first College GameDay show of the 2025 season. With Texas at Ohio State being the likely destination for that program, Corso has probably put on headgear for a Notre Dame game for the final time.

Corso was tasked with either dressing up as Notre Dame’s leprechaun or placing the headgear of the Fighting Irish’s opponent atop his dome 34 times in total throughout his illustrious run of putting people on the edge of their seats in anticipation of his choice.

Corso had an 11-5 record when picking Notre Dame. He had a 13-5 record when picking against Notre Dame. His all-time headgear record in Notre Dame games of 24-10, a winning percentage of 70.6, is better than his all-time headgear record, period, of 287-144. That’s a winning percentage of 66.6.

Here’s a look at every time Corso either made Irish fans happy by doing a jig and/or dressing up in green on ESPN’s set — which he did for the final time prior to the national championship game against Ohio State this past January — or angered them by siding with the enemy.
