Notre Dame adds PWO commitment from outstanding QB, twin brother of 2024 pledge
On Tuesday, the Notre Dame football program added a second quarterback to its 2024 recruiting class. Omaha (Neb.) Westside signal-caller Anthony Rezac announced his verbal commitment to the Fighting Irish as a preferred walk-on.
The 6-foot-3½, 190-pounder intends to walk on at Notre Dame over eight scholarship offers, including ones from Air Force, Army and Navy. Rezac is the twin brother of Irish 2024 linebacker pledge Teddy Rezac, who accepted a scholarship offer from Notre Dame.
Anthony Rezac has led the Westside Warriors to two state championships in Nebraska’s highest classification (Class A). This past one was his best statistically.
In 13 games, Rezac completed 160-218 (73.4%) passes for 2,316 yards, 30 touchdowns and 5 interceptions. On the ground, he compiled 905 yards and 15 scores on 97 carries (9.3 yards per carry).
During his junior season, Rezac relied on his rushing skills more frequently. He had 160 carries for 1,118 yards and 19 touchdowns in 13 games. In the passing game, he connected on 168-250 throws (67.2%) for 2,239 yards, 19 touchdowns and 4 interceptions.
Rezac finished high school with 407-584 completions (69.7%) for 5,776 yards, 68 touchdowns and 10 interceptions in 35 games across three seasons. His final rushing stats were 309 carries for 2,270 yards and 36 scores.
Rezac does not have an On3 or On3 Industry Ranking rating. However, one primary recruiting media service awarded him three stars, ranking him as the No. 129 quarterback and No. 17 prospect in Nebraska in the 2024 recruiting cycle.
“He’s a stud,” Westside High coach Paul Limongi told Blue & Gold in July. “He’s the best quarterback in the state of Nebraska.”
Limongi coached Notre Dame four-year safety Xavier Watts at Omaha (Neb.) Harry A. Burke High School.

In addition to Anthony and Teddy Rezac, the Irish are recruiting Westside High 2025 class linebacker Christian Jones. Notre Dame offered the 6-3, 215-pound Jones during its Pot of Gold Day recruiting event on March 17. Although about 65 other recruits picked up scholarship offers that day, few have the same profile as Jones.
