Two weeks after the No. 1 safety recruit in the 2026 class, Baton Rouge (La.) Catholic’s Blaine Bradford, included the Notre Dame football program in a competitive Top 5, the No. 3 safety prospect featured the Fighting Irish in his top schools.

On Saturday, four-star Bralan Womack from Flowood (Miss.) Hartfield Academy announced his Top 10 schools on social media. Notre Dame, Alabama, Louisville, LSU, Mississippi State, Nebraska, Ohio State, Tennessee, Texas and Texas A&M made the cut for the 6-foot-0½, 200-pounder.

In addition to being the No. 3 safety in the class, the On3 Industry Ranking — a proprietary algorithm that compiles ratings and rankings from all four primary recruiting media services — considers Womack the No. 30 overall player and No. 1 prospect in Mississippi in 2026.

Notre Dame offered him after he competed in the program’s Irish Invasion camp on June 2. Coach Marcus Freeman and company made a massive impression on Womack during his first trip to South Bend.

“Like Coach Freeman was saying, Notre Dame is an offer that when you get it, it doesn’t just give you glory in football — it gives you glory in life,” Womack said on June 2. “Football is going to flee one day, and when it does, you have to have something to look forward to. When you have that (Notre Dame) degree in your hands — whatever you apply for after football — that degree goes to the top of the heap because it’s Notre Dame. It’s just a great offer to have; I’m extremely blessed.

“I don’t have to stay in Mississippi; I don’t have to stay in the South … I’m interested in who is interested in me.”

In addition to Notre Dame, Womack also unofficially visited Ohio State, Texas and Texas A&M this summer. He also has visited Ole Miss five times in total. However, the Rebels are not one of his top schools.

Before Womack trimmed his list, he had over 20 offers. He left Florida, Georgia, Missouri, Oregon, Penn State and Washington out of his Top 10.

According to MaxPreps, Womack recorded 26 solo tackles during his 11-game junior season. He also had a remarkable 7 interceptions and recovered a fumble. On offense, he contributed 32 catches for 562 yards and 10 touchdowns.

So far, Notre Dame has secured verbal commitments from two players in the 2026 cycle. Boca Raton (Fla.) Saint Andrew’s School three-star wide receiver Dylan Faison — the younger brother of Irish standout Jordan Faison — pledged to the program on March 18.

Less than three months later, Notre Dame landed its quarterback in the next cycle. Four-star passer Noah Grubbs from Lake Mary (Fla.) High locked in his spot in the Irish class on June 1.
