Where Notre Dame stands for On300 LB Cincere Johnson after Lousiville game visit, Ohio State offer

After Glenville (Ohio) High linebacker recruit Cincere Johnson reeled in a scholarship offer from Ohio State during a game-day visit on Sept. 21, a pair of expert predictions emerged in the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine favoring the Buckeyes. That did not affect the Notre Dame football program’s approach to his recruitment — or Johnson’s interest in it.  The Fighting Irish still hosted the 6-foot-3, 225-pound Johnson, who ranks as the On3 Industry Ranking’s No. 111 overall player and No. 8 linebacker in 2026, on campus last Saturday for the Louisville game. It was Johnson’s fourth trip to South Bend since the spring. If the number of times Johnson has been to Notre Dame doesn’t prove it is still in the thick of his recruitment, the explanation he shared does.
