Zach Bryan and Shane Gillis to team up for a show at Notre Dame Stadium

The 2025 Notre Dame football schedule came with a funky hitch when it was announced in recent weeks. The Fighting Irish will not play in Week 2 after opening the year at Miami on Aug. 31. They’ve got an off week the first weekend in September.
So, what the heck are locals to do outside of inundating themselves in college football on television while waiting for Notre Dame to get back on the field against Texas A&M on Sept. 13? How about head to Notre Dame Stadium to take in a star-studded show with headliners Zach Bryan, Shane Gillis and Dermot Kennedy.
That lineup was announced for a 7 p.m. ET show on Sept. 6. Tickets go on sale Friday, March 7, at 10 a.m. ET.
Notre Dame Stadium has hosted music icons such as Garth Brooks and Billy Joel in recent years. Bryan, 28, is more of a new-age country music star, but he’s been wildly successful since he began uploading music to social media platforms in 2017. His debut album, DeAnn, was dedicated to his late mother in 2019. Bryan is a military veteran of the U.S. Navy.
Gillis, 37, is one of the most popular comedians out there at the moment. He just so happens to double as a Notre Dame super fan. He’s been in the mix with the Irish for several occasions lately. Last summer, he was on a stream showcasing the College Football 25 video game before it came out to the masses. He played as the Fighting Irish, of course.

Gillis was the celebrity guest picker for Notre Dame’s first-round College Football Playoff game against Indiana in late December. There was a viral social media clip of Gillis praying to God in a church for a national championship game victory over Ohio State. That prayer was not answered, obviously, but there will be many more instances of Gillis showing up in a pro-Irish capacity in the future. Without a doubt.
Speaking of Irish capacities; Dermot Kennedy, 33, is an Irish singer/songwriter. He’s released two studio albums; Without Fear in 2019 and Sonder in 2022. The latter, he describes himself, is based on “the realization that each random passerby is living a life as vivid and complex as your own.”
Between Bryan, Gillis and Kennedy, there should be a little bit of everything for everyone who walks into Notre Dame Stadium on Sept. 6.
