Belmont (N.C.) South Point (10-1) posted a 48-13 victory over Hickory (N.C.) High (7-4) in the first round of the North Carolina Class 3A state playoffs.

Scored a rushing touchdown to help lead Baton Rouge (La.) University Lab (7-3) to a 35-7 win over Baton Rouge (La.) Parkview Baptist (8-2).
