On Tuesday, the Notre Dame football program learned its competition in four-star EDGE Dre Quinn’s college football recruitment.

Norcross (Ga.) Greater Atlanta Christian School’s Quinn announced his top six schools with On3 director of recruiting Chad Simmons. The 6-foot-3½, 220-pound junior is down to Clemson, Georgia, Georgia Tech, Notre Dame, Tennessee and Texas.

According to the On3 Industry Ranking — a proprietary algorithm that compiles ratings and rankings from all four primary recruiting media services — Quinn is the No. 30 player in Georgia, No. 31 EDGE nationally and No. 267 overall player in the 2026 class.

Before narrowing his recruitment Tuesday, Quinn held scholarship offers from 23 other Power Four schools. Ohio State, Southern Cal, Alabama, LSU, Texas A&M, Miami (FL), Auburn, Florida State, Oklahoma, Michigan and Missouri are the teams he is no longer considering.

When did Notre Dame start recruiting four-star EDGE Dre Quinn?

The Irish entered the mix for Quinn on Jan. 29 after assistant defensive line coach Nick Sebastian made the trip down to Atlanta to see the On3 Industry Ranking’s No. 7 EDGE in the Peach State. Notre Dame immediately caught his attention.

“It’s a prestigious school with a great education,” Quinn told Blue & Gold on Feb. 20. “They have tradition and are a winning team. They are going to be a great team every year. They’re consistent. They produce great players — NFL talent, Hall of Famers.”

Less than three months later, Quinn verified his interest in the Irish by unofficially visiting campus. Following the visit, Notre Dame skyrocketed toward the top of his recruitment.

“Notre Dame has been a top school for me, even before the visit, but now it has solidified its spot in my top three,” Quinn told On3 director of recruiting Chad Simmons on April 4. “The visit was amazing. It was very personal, the most personal visit for me. It’s more than football. …

“They emphasized life after football, which most teams don’t do. The players are close like a family, no one is over another and the coaching staff is top tier. I knew Notre Dame was going to be great, but they exceeded my expectations.”

Quinn is set to return to campus for an official visit on June 3.

When will Quinn officially visit other schools?

In addition to Notre Dame, Quinn will officially visit Clemson on May 30, Georgia on June 6, Texas on June 13 and Tennessee on June 13. He officially visited Georgia Tech last Saturday. Quinn was also initially scheduled to officially visit Southern Cal on June 13. However, the Trojans are no longer in the mix for his commitment.

The in-state Yellow Jackets and Bulldogs have welcomed him to campus more than any other school. He has visited both schools four times each. Quinn has also visited Tennessee twice and Texas once.
