Former Notre Dame football offensive coordinator and quarterback Tommy Rees might have his next job lined up.

On Sunday, after the New England Patriots announced the hiring of Mike Vrabel as head coach, Patriots.com senior reporter Evan Lazar named Rees one of five candidates to be Vrabel’s offensive coordinator.

Rees and Vrabel were on the Cleveland Browns coaching staff for the 2024 season. Rees was a passing game specialist and tight ends coach, and Vrabel was the head coach’s special assistant.

Earlier this month, the Browns interviewed Rees for their vacant offensive coordinator position. He also finished as a finalist for the head coaching job at North Carolina.
