One of the top quarterbacks in the 2027 class is set to reveal whether he plans to play college football at Notre Dame or elsewhere.

On Thursday, Kennesaw (Ga.) North Cobb four-star quarterback Teddy Jarrard will announce his commitment at 1 p.m. ET on the Rivals YouTube channel. The 6-foot-3, 196-pound junior will choose between five finalists: Notre Dame, Georgia, Michigan, Ohio State and Penn State.

Jarrard is one of the most coveted signal-callers in the 2027 recruiting cycle. He ranks as the No. 2 quarterback and No. 52 overall player nationally, as well as the No. 5 player in Georgia. Before narrowing his recruitment last Thursday, Jarrard reported scholarship offers from 23 other Power Four programs.

Here’s what you need to know about Jarrard’s recruitment ahead of Thursday’s decision.

Where will Teddy Jarrard commit?

The Rivals Recruiting Prediction Machine (RPM) gives the Irish a 91.9% chance of landing Jarrard’s commitment. Rivals vice president of recruiting Steve Wiltfong and Blue & Gold recruiting insider Mike Singer have both logged RPM picks in Notre Dame’s favor.

If Jarrard were to commit to the Irish, it would come after just one visit to South Bend. He made his first trip to campus on June 5 and was one of two quarterbacks in the 2027 class to receive an offer from Marcus Freeman’s program 16 days later.

Meanwhile, Jarrard has reported five visits to Georgia—more than any other school—including two this offseason. The in-state program is located about 85 miles west of Kennesaw. However, it’s worth noting that Georgia already holds a verbal commitment from the No. 2 quarterback in the 2026 class, Five-Star Plus+ recruit Jared Curtis, out of Nashville (Tenn.) Christian.

Jarrard also visited Michigan, Ohio State and Penn State for the first time this summer. Among that Big Ten trio, his interest in Ohio State is particularly intriguing, given the Buckeyes already have a commitment from Huntington Beach (Calif.) High four-star Brady Edmunds, the No. 4 quarterback in the 2027 class.

Michigan and Penn State do not yet have a quarterback commit in the 2027 class, and Jarrard gave high marks to both of his visits to Ann Arbor and State College.

As a sophomore, Jarrard guided North Cobb Christian to an 11-2 record and a state semifinal appearance. He completed 222 of 323 passes for 2,762 yards and 31 touchdowns while throwing just five interceptions. He has since transferred to North Cobb for his junior year.
