How to watch Notre Dame football game vs. Navy
It’s that time of year again, both for Notre Dame and for college football fans around the country. And, in this case, around the world.
In the first game of the 2023 college football season, No. 13 Notre Dame takes on Navy at 2:30 p.m. ET on Saturday, Aug. 26 in Dublin, Ireland. The matchup is technically a Fighting Irish home game, so NBC has the television broadcast with Peacock streaming the game for subscribers as well.
NBC’s broadcast team of Noah Eagle (play-by-play), Jason Garrett (analyst), Zora Stephenson (reporter) and Terry McAulay (rules analyst) will have the call. Eagle is filling in for Jac Collinsworth, NBC’s primary Notre Dame play-by-play announcer. NBC Sports Fighting Irish writer Douglas Farmer said Collinsworth will return to the booth next week against Tennessee State.
The Irish enter the 2023 season, Marcus Freeman‘s second at the helm, with high expectations after the addition of Wake Forest graduate transfer Sam Hartman. Navy, coming off a disappointing 4-8 campaign, fired longtime coach Ken Niumatalolo and promoted defensive coordinator Brian Newberry to the top job. The Midshipmen could play three different quarterbacks against the Fighting Irish.
