Josh Lugg didn’t hear his name called in the 2023 NFL Draft, but he’s still getting his chance to play at the next level.

The Chicago Bears announced Monday morning that the team signed Lugg, who participated in the team’s rookie minicamp.

Chicago is certainly getting an offensive lineman with superb experience at the college level at multiple positions. Lugg spent six years at Notre Dame and totaled 33 starts for the Irish. He started at right tackle in 2021 and lined up at right guard this past season.

Josh Lugg joins defensive back Tariq Bracy (Texans), defensive lineman Justin Ademilola (Packers), defensive lineman Chris Smith (Lions), safety Brandon Joseph (Lions), defensive lineman Jayson Ademilola (Jaguars) and kicker Blake Grupe (Saints) as Notre Dame players who were picked up as undrafted free agents/rookie minicamp invitees.
