How did Carr look when he camped at Notre Dame?
Carr — the grandson of both legendary Michigan head coach Lloyd Carr and Michigan All-American safety Tom Curtis — included the Irish and the Wolverines in his finalists along with Georgia, LSU, Michigan State and Wisconsin.
If he chooses Notre Dame, he would be the third pledge in the 2024 class. Pollard and Singer were at the Irish Athletic Center on Sunday to watch the top prospect.
“I’m just going to be honest, the kid was born to play quarterback,” Singer said. “The dude is impressive.”

Carr’s footwork, accuracy, velocity and release were nearly perfect, and he carried himself like a future FBS quarterback.
The staff then dove into a conversation concerning a certain other uncommitted recruit: 2023 five-star quarterback Arch Manning.
“You’re watching him, and he really looks a lot like Manning does with his body mechanics and the way he throws,” Hyde said. “You watch so much of Manning’s film, and you see he loves to step up and throw. Carr does a lot of that.
“His mannerisms, he is himself, so to speak. He’s confident.”
Carr is the top player from Michigan, No. 5 quarterback and No. 23 player nationally in the 2024 class per On3 Consensus. The Irish have a 98 percent chance to land the signal-caller according to the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine.
