Notre Dame had its second major recruiting weekend of the year from March 24-25, with the other notable weekend falling in January.

Quarterbacks are always notable recruits on campus, and Lexington (Ky.) Christian Academy’s Cutter Boley, the No. 21 overall prospect and No. 2 signal-caller per the 2025 On3 Industry Ranking, was a marquee player in South Bend. Boley is pictured in the image above in a photo taken by Blue & Gold photographer Chad Weaver.

Boley picked up his offer from the Fighting Irish on Pot of Gold day and went in-depth about the news with Blue & Gold.

You won’t get much pushback if you call Chicago St. Ignatius’ Justin Scott, who ranks as the No. 11 prospect and No. 2 defensive lineman per the 2024 On3 Industry ranking, the most important recruit at Notre Dame over the weekend.

The five-star recruit raved about his time in South Bend with Blue & Gold’s Kyle Kelly.

“I’m a momma’s boy, so I can’t be too far from my mom,” he said. “So them (Notre Dame) just being an hour-and-a-half away, that plays a huge role.”

Kelly also had an observations article on Scott’s time at Notre Dame’s practice Saturday.

Raymore (Mo.) Peculiar’s Jaden Reddell, the No. 58 overall recruit and No. 3 tight end according to the 2024 On3 Industry Ranking, was another high-profile player on campus. Notre Dame is looking to make a big move for the elite prospect, who is the nation’s top tight end according to On3’s own rankings.

Reddell plays on the same 7-on-7 team (California Power) as Irish quarterback pledge CJ Carr.

Jacksonville (Fla.) Mandarin’s Jon Mitchell, the No. 145 recruit and No. 12 cornerback according to the 2024 On3 Industry Ranking, could be a difference-maker in the Notre Dame secondary. The Irish look to have made a strong move for him, according to Blue & Gold. Miami, Alabama, Florida State and Penn State are among the other top contenders for Scott.

Ryan Ghea

Milton (Ga.) High class of 2025 tight end Ryan Ghea loved his time on campus. It’s still early in his recruitment, but the Irish look to be a top contender for the 6-5, 228-pounder. Ole Miss, Tennessee and Florida State are just a few schools that have also offered him a scholarship.

The Fighting Irish offered him as part of their Pot of Gold day March 17.
