Rabun Gap (Ga.) Nacoochee School class of 2025 tight end Marshall Pritchett is plenty familiar with Notre Dame. After all, he is the son of 1988 Notre Dame national champion and All-American linebacker Wes Pritchett.
Wes, Marshall and Lawson Pritchett, a 2024 safety with lower level Division I offers, were in South Bend June 15. Marshall and Lawson took part in Notre Dame’s prospect camp that day.
At this point, Lawson is likely more of a preferred walk-on candidate for Notre Dame. With Marshall being a rising junior, he has plenty of time to impress the Irish staff and earn a scholarship offer. Several Power Five schools are already after him.
And Marshall was considered a top performer by Blue & Gold at the camp today, impressing as a pass catcher. Listed at 6-5, 210 pounds, Marshall is listed by On3 as a tight end and worked out at that position and receiver during the camp.
“I talked a lot with Coach [Gerad] Parker throughout the early stages of camp, and he told me he wanted me doing receiver stuff for individual period and doing one on ones from slot,” Marshall Pritchett said. “He really just wanted to see my versatility, so I spent most my day with Coach [Chansi] Stuckey.”
Pritchett feels that he had a very strong showing at the camp.
“I did not lose a rep in one on ones and moved great in routes on air and individual drills,” he said. “At the end, I talked with Coach Parker, and he emphasized that it’s early for me and the staff wants to see me progress.”
He also believes that the staff has plenty of interest in him moving forward after the camp.
“I feel like I showed out,” Pritchett continued. “I move very well, and I’m a big receiver, which is something ND typically has. I’m not sure what they want me as, but whatever it is, I can’t wait to prove myself in the fall.”

When it comes to Notre Dame legacy football recruits, some have different exposure to the Fighting Irish growing up. While one young man may have grown up a diehard ND fan, another may not have followed the program closely. For Pritchett, it’s the former.
“I grew up always the biggest fan of ND in all sports,” he said. “Lacrosse is another sport I’ve played all my life. I was even an All-American, and my dad happens to know Coach [Kevin] Corrigan very well. He was actually there watching my brother and I today. I’ve known him well since I was very young.
“Football was always the main sport I cheered for though. I looked up to lots of guys over the years — Jaylon Smith, Michael Mayer, Will Fuller and most importantly my father. I’ve been to at least one game a year since I was six, so I knew I had to empty the tank [at the camp] to get a shot.”
Pritchett holds offers from Vanderbilt, North Carolina, Wisconsin, Boston College, Cincinnati and others. He’s planning to visit North Carolina Sunday.
On3 ranks Pritchett as a three-star prospect and the No. 24 tight end in the 2025 class.
