Newsstand: Notre Dame features two top-rated players in EA Sports College Football 26

On Tuesday, EA Sports revealed its top-rated players in College Football 26. Notre Dame has a representative on both offense and defense, and you can probably guess who each one is.
Junior Irish running back Jeremiyah Love is the third-highest-rated offensive player in the game at 95 overall, behind only the two cover athletes: Ohio State wide receiver Jeremiah Smith (98) and Alabama wide receiver Ryan Williams (95). Sophomore Irish cornerback Leonard Moore is the eighth-highest-rated defensive player and second-highest-rated corner at 93 overall, behind only Tennessee’s Jermod McCoy.
The second edition of EA Sports’ College Football franchise since the return of the beloved video game last summer after a decade-long hiatus releases July 10. Early access for pre-orders on the Deluxe Edition or MVP bundle begins July 7.

Notre Dame Tweets of the day
It’s a new era at Blue & Gold, with the additions of Eric Hansen and Tyler James.
Hansen’s debut feature for Blue & Gold a must-read.
James on joining Blue & Gold:
Quote of the day
“My philosophy has always been recruiting high school prospective student-athletes, and that’s always what I’ve known, and that’s always what I’ve attempted. This past season, as you see with our team and the majority of all the colleges, there was a lot of turnover. And this is the first time that has ever happened.
“Several schools lost five to six to eight players, and so it became more the norm this spring. But I think that’s a one-off. I’m hoping that’s not the case every season. I’m sure every coach probably feels the same way. But my No. 1 goal is to bring in prospective student-athletes from high school and then supplement that roster with the transfer portal.”
— Notre Dame head women’s basketball coach Niele Ivey to Blue & Gold‘s Eric Hansen
