Starling did not play in the boys McDonald’s All-American Game due to a minor injury, but attended and was on the bench for the East team in its 105-81 win Tuesday. The four-star guard and his La Porte (Ind.) La Lumiere teammates play Thursday afternoon in the first round of the GEICO nationals in Fort Myers, Fla.
Starling will also play in the Nike Hoop Summit April 9 and the Jordan Brand Classic April 15. He arrives at Notre Dame in June. He’s the No. 24 player in the 2022 class, per the On3 Consensus, and was the Irish’s first McDonald’s All-American since Demetrius Jackson in 2013.
