Newsstand: Notre Dame MBB eviscerates Georgia Tech, clinches double bye for ACC Tournament
Notre Dame basketball’s last few games of the 2021-22 regular season fall squarely in the category of “can’t lose” contests. On Saturday, they passed the test with flying colors.
The Irish (21-8, 14-4 ACC) topped Georgia Tech (11-18, 4-14 ACC) 90-56 in South Bend, their largest margin of victory over an ACC opponent since joining the conference nearly a decade ago. Guard Dane Goodwin led all players with 17 points, and the Irish had four of five starters score double-digit points.
As a result of the win, Notre Dame clinched a double bye for the ACC Tournament. They are currently sitting in the No. 2 spot in the conference, one game behind Duke.
BlueandGold.com‘s Patrick Engel has more on the blow out victory here. Notre Dame’s next game is Wednesday at Florida State.
