Deuce Knight’s junior season was wild. It started off with a summer transfer to Lipscomb Academy in Nashville, Tenn. where he played three games before going back home to George County in Lucedale, Miss. He committed to Marcus Freeman’s Notre Dame program in the midst of it all, a pledge that he gave while sitting out a few games due to Mississippi transfer rules.

His season ended this past Friday in a playoff loss, and on Monday, he posted his junior highlights, which can be seen in the video player below.

Knight was outstanding as a junior at George County. In seven games, he completed 84 of 157 passes for 1,420 yards with 15 touchdowns and 2 interceptions. He added 340 yards and 8 scores on the ground. In his three games at Lipscomb Academy, Knight accounted for 781 yards and 5 touchdowns.

The 6-4.5, 195-pounder ranks as the nation’s No. 46 overall player and No. 4 quarterback according to the 2025 On3 Industry Ranking. He committed to the Fighting Irish over the likes of Auburn, Alabama, Ole Miss and Tennessee.

Quote of the day

“I think it’s an accumulation of things. The thing you love about Sam (Hartman) is that he takes ownership of everything, right? He’s not passing blame. As the head coach, you look, watch and evaluate. It’s an accumulation of we got to protect better, right? We have to protect Sam Hartman better. We have to be precise and exact route details that we have. Sam’s got to make better decisions, as he’ll be the first to tell you, but it’s not just one thing.”
