Three Notre Dame players made NFL Network draft analyst Daniel Jeremiah’s top-150 prospect list. The top Golden Domer on Jeremiah’s ranking is offensive tackle Joe Alt, of course, but the other two are more difficult to guess.

Jeremiah ranks Alt No. 8 overall and first among offensive tackles. Fellow OT Blake Fisher is No. 54, while linebacker JD Bertrand checks in at No. 119. Fisher is ninth at his position; Bertrand is eighth.

Those marks are on the higher end for Fisher and Bertrand, while players such as running back Audric Estimé and cornerback Cam Hart would appear on other analysts’ top-150 lists. Aside from Alt, who will likely be drafted in the top 10, the former Irish in the 2024 NFL Draft could hear their names called in a wide range of selections.

Quote of the day

“Alt started 33 games at left tackle for the Fighting Irish, and I was most impressed by his technique on a snap-to-snap basis. He rarely gets caught out. He mirrors well in pass protection, adjusting easily to secondary moves from edge rushers. He does a great job keeping his huge frame between the defender and his quarterback. In his career, he allowed just 16 total pressures in more than 1,000 pass-block snaps.

“Alt’s father, John, was a first-round offensive tackle, too, going No. 21 overall to the Chiefs in 1984. He was 6-7, 275 pounds when he entered the NFL, which shows you how the game has changed since then.”

— ESPN NFL Draft analyst Mel Kiper on former Notre Dame offensive tackle and likely top-10 pick Joe Alt
