Four-star 2026 running back prospect Javian Osborne, out of Forney (Texas) High, arrived on Notre Dame’s campus Tuesday and will attend spring practice Wednesday. It’s his first visit to South Bend since the Irish offered him during last year’s Pot of Gold Day.

Osborne is the No. 97 player and No. 8 running back in the 2026 class, according to the On3 Industry Ranking. The On3 Industry Ranking has Texas as the heavy favorite for the 5-foot-9, 195-pound running back, with whom he has an official visit scheduled. He will also take OVs to SMU, Alabama and Miami.

However, with new running backs coach Ja’Juan Seider in the fold, the Irish are getting back in the mix for the blue-chip ball carrier.

In addition to Notre Dame, Osborne has unofficial visits with five other schools. He saw Georgia this past Friday, and he’ll visit Florida State this coming Friday, Michigan on March 28, Miami on April 4 and USC on April 22.

Quote of the day

“I actually have never been on campus. My dad always said to save it for a special moment because of the mystique of it all and I think that time has come. Notre Dame has always been high on my list of schools and the fact that they would want me to come play there makes it even better.”
