Newsstand: Two more Notre Dame players given 90-plus ratings in EA Sports College Football 26

On Tuesday, EA Sports revealed every player in College Football 26 who earned an initial rating of 90 overall or higher. In addition to its two stars in the top 10 on their respective side of the ball — junior running back Jeremiyah Love and sophomore Leonard Moore — Notre Dame has two more players in the upper echelon of the game.
Redshirt junior offensive tackle Aamil Wagner and redshirt senior wide receiver Malachi Fields are both rated 91 overall. Wagner is the fifth-highest-rated right tackle in the game, while Fields, a Virginia transfer, is the No. 9 wide receiver.
Wagner broke out in 2024, starting every game at right tackle. He was Notre Dame’s rock on the offensive line, blocking well in both the run and pass games. Fields, meanwhile, put up back-to-back 800-yard seasons at Virginia. He opes to add a dimension to the Irish offense that it has not had in head coach Marcus Freeman‘s tenure: An elite boundary receiver.
EA Sports College Football 25 is released to the public July 10, while customers who pre-order the deluxe edition will gain early access July 7.

Notre Dame Tweets of the day
The Fighting Irish added a game to their 2026 schedule on Wednesday. They’ll host Rice on Sept. 12 in South Bend.
Anyone who went to Notre Dame will have an opinion on this:
Happy Fourth of July!
Quote of the day
“Not only is [Notre Dame running back Jeremiyah Love] explosive and dynamic, but he’s physical. He’s not afraid to run in between the tackles. I think that’s what I love about him and his ability, what he can do. I’m really excited about what he brings to the table this coming year because I think they’re going to have a really good football team. They got a really good offensive line. I think Jeremiyah Love will be able to go out there and make some things happen.”
— Fighting Irish legend Jerome Bettis
