Former Notre Dame and current Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver Chase Claypool (2016-19) suffered a shoulder injury at the end of July. It wasn’t considered a serious injury but one that the Steelers’ staff showed caution with.

According to reports out of Pittsburgh, the star wideout returned to practice on Monday and should have no problem returning to the lineup for preseason.

In his first two season with the Steelers, Claypool has hauled in 121 passes for 1,733 yards and 11 touchdowns across 31 games. In 50 games for Notre Dame, he caught 150 balls for 2,195 yards and 19 scores.

Former Irish running back Dexter Williams was drafted by the Green Bay Packers in the sixth round of the 2019 NFL Draft. He spent two seasons in Green Bay, totaling just 7 carries for 19 yards. He has bounced around a few different practice squads the past couple years.
