On3 updated its class of 2025 rankings after a couple months of offseason camps, and with the dust settled, Notre Dame still has one of the very best classes in the country assembled.

The Fighting Irish have the No. 5 group in the land with a recruit “score” ranking of 92.564. Ahead of Notre Dame is Ohio State, LSU, USC and Clemson, respectively. The Tigers are one spot ahead of the Irish and have a class score of 93.624.

Rivals ranks Notre Dame with the top class in America, in large part due to their rankings system favoring classes with more commitments. The On3 Industry Ranking Football Team Recruiting Rankings uses a score average of the player rankings, which solves the problem of varying class sizes during the recruiting cycle. It compiles the highest-rated commits for each team up to a total based on a rolling average of current total commitments among Power Five schools.

Quote of the day

“Right now, it’s just getting mental reps, trying to be on the sideline and help out any way I can. Which is something I’m not accustomed to, just trying to lead on the sideline, but I gotta find new ways to connect and relate to people out off the field.”
