How to watch the 2023 Notre Dame Blue-Gold Game on Peacock
It is time to re-launch or start those Peacock subscriptions for Notre Dame football fans. Saturday’s Blue-Gold Game will be broadcast exclusively on Peacock, NBC’s streaming service.
Kickoff time is 2 p.m. ET at Notre Dame Stadium. Anyone not in attendance needs a Peacock subscription to watch. NBC, the Irish’s television partner for most regular-season home games, will not be carrying live coverage. Peacock has broadcast the last two spring games and one regular-season home game each of the last two years.
Tony Simeone, the radio play-by-play voice of Notre Dame men’s basketball games, will call the game for Peacock. Former Irish tight end Kyle Rudolph is the color analyst. Ex-Notre Dame safety Kyle Hamilton and NBC Sports’ Caroline Pineda are the sideline reporters. Head coach Marcus Freeman will wear a microphone throughout the game and do in-game interviews.
A Peacock Premium subscription costs $4.99 per month. Anyone with an Xfinity cable subscription already has Peacock included in their TV package and does not need to sign up separately. Spectrum and Cox cable subscribers can get Peacock at no additional cost for a limited time.
The Peacock app can be downloaded on most smart TVs, Android and Apple mobile and tablet devices, PlayStation and XBox. It can also be accessed with Apple TV, Amazon Fire TV and Chromecast. It’s supported on web browsers Google Chrome, Firefox, Safari and MS Edge.

The Blue-Gold Game will have a regular scoring format and four 15-minute quarters. Some of the game will have a running clock, Freeman said, but did not say exactly how much. The defenses are not allowed to blitz more than once every four downs during the first three quarters. Sam Hartman (Gold) and Tyler Buchner (Blue) will be the starting quarterbacks.
Several Notre Dame players will not participate in the game due to injury or rest. The Irish drafted the teams for the game Thursday morning, but have not yet released official rosters that include the seniors’ and graduate students’ pre-assigned teams.
Last season’s Peacock broadcast included the release of all home game kickoff times for the upcoming season. The 2023 kickoff times have not yet been announced and could be released Saturday. The Irish play Tennessee State (Sept. 2), Central Michigan (Sept. 16), Ohio State (Sept. 23), USC (Oct. 14), Pittsburgh (Oct. 28) and Wake Forest (Nov. 18) at home this year. NBC also has the rights to the Aug. 26 game against Navy in Dublin.
