The annual spring peek at Notre Dame football has arrived. The Blue-Gold Game kicks off at 2 p.m. ET Saturday in South Bend. Follow this article for live scoring updates and tweets on the game.

Blue-Gold Game first quarter

• Sam Hartman leads the Gold team on the first drive of the game.

• Hartman finds Jayden Thomas to his left, and Thomas breaks a couple tackles for a Gold team score. The extra point is good. Scoring Drive: 4 plays, 75 yards, 2:19

SCORE: Gold 7, Blue 0 with 12:41 left in the first quarter

• Hartman connects with Jayden Thomas for a 46-yard gain on a deep ball. The drive ends with a Hartman quarterback keeper for a Gold team touchdown. Scoring Drive: 6 plays, 69 yards, 3:07

SCORE: Gold 14, Blue 0 with 7:33 left in the first quarter

• Freeman pregame on Peacock on the Notre Dame quarterbacks: “Constant improvement. Those two are ultimate competitors and they’ve made each other better, and that’s been great to see. The progression of those two through 14 practices … it’s going to be exciting to see. They’re probably only going to play the first half, but it’s going to be exciting to see in this environment.”

Second quarter

• Hartman finds Matt Salerno for a 13-yards score. Hartman has tossed two touchdowns and ran in another. Scoring Drive: 10 plays, 55 yards, 4:47

SCORE: Gold 21, Blue 0 with 8:03 left in the second quarter

• Steve Angeli replaces Sam Hartman as the Gold team quarterback.

Halftime: Gold 21, Blue 0

Third quarter

• Buchner remains the quarterback for the Blue team, while Angeli is under center for the Gold team. Kenny Minchey is expected to play soon for the Blue team in the second half. The score remains 21-0 Gold.

• Marcus Freeman on Hartman’s fast start in the game: “Just the ability to keep the ball in play, keep it off the ground and be efficient in your decision making. I know one of the incompletions was on the RPO, but I still like the decisions that he’s making. They’ve been really efficient and that’s really good to see.”

• Freshman Kenny Minchey replaces Buchner as the Blue team quarterback. The score remains 21-0 in favor of Gold.

Fourth quarter

• Angeli leads the Gold team down the field, and Zac Yoakam knocks through a 28-yard field goal to extend the Gold team’s lead. Scoring Drive: 8 plays, 39 yards, 4:39

SCORE: Gold 24, Blue 0 with 12:48 left in the fourth quarter

Final: Gold 24, Blue 0
