Which Notre Dame 2024 signees are enrolling early?
Notre Dame was a late adapter to early enrollment, first permitting it in 2006 at then-head coach Charlie Weis’ behest. The Irish added three mid-year enrollees that season.
It was groundbreaking then. Now? Spring semester freshmen arrivals routinely reach double-digits and comprise at least half the class. Fourteen of the Irish’s 27 signees in the 2021 class arrived in January. One year later, 12 of 22 were mid-years. Twelve of the 24 players in the signed 2023 cycle enrolled early.
That 2021 class that had 14 early enrollees was a school record. The group in the 2024 class breaks that record with 15 players who will enroll at Notre Dame in January. Who are they?
