On Sunday, Circa Sports unveiled its Week 10 opening betting lines. The Notre Dame football team opened as a 1-point favorite against Clemson in the spread.

Next Saturday will mark the seventh time the No. 12 Fighting Irish (7-2) and Tigers (4-4) square off. Clemson holds a 4-3 series advantage but is 1-1 against Notre Dame at home.

The last time the Irish took on No. 4 Clemson was Nov. 5, when they upset coach Dabo Swinney’s squad 35-14 in South Bend. They covered a 3.5-point spread in that game with an outright victory.

Notre Dame is 6-2-1 against the spread this football season. Marcus Freeman’s team most recently covered a 21-point line against fellow ACC foe, Pittsburgh, with a 58-7 victory at Notre Dame Stadium. The Irish are 3-1 versus the spread when facing ACC opponents this season, including 2-1 on the road.

The Irish last played an away game at Louisville on Oct. 7 and lost to the Cardinals, 33-20. Notre Dame was a 6.5-point favorite in that game.

The previous time Notre Dame took on Clemson at its place, ND lost 24-22 on Oct. 3, 2015. The Tigers are riding a two-game losing streak. However, they are 3-1 at home this season.
