Notre Dame verbal pledges from across the country are in the thick of their respective junior and senior seasons, and Blue & Gold is tracking their performances.

Here is a breakdown of how the Notre Dame commits fared over the weekend.

OL Sullivan Absher

Belmont (N.C.) South Point (7-1) knocked off Gastonia (N.C.) Ashbrook (3-5) 28-19.

Next game: vs. Gastonia (N.C.) Forestview (3-5) Oct. 21.


LB Jaiden Ausberry

Baton Rouge (La.) University Lab (4-3) fell 40-37 to Baton Rouge (La.) Madison Prep Academy (5-2).

Unofficial season stats: 62 total stops, 7.5 tackles for loss, 1.5 sacks, 1 forced fumble and 3 passes broken up … 5 rushes for 17 yards and 3 touchdowns (missing one game).

CB Micah Bell

Ran 18 times for 80 yards and 2 touchdowns to help lead Houston The Kinkaid School (5-3) to a 20-17 overtime victory versus Dallas Episcopal (6-1).

Official season stats: 135 rushes for 897 yards and 10 touchdowns.

LB Drayk Bowen

Posted 17 tackles and 1 tackle for loss as Merrillville (Ind.) Andrean (6-3) suffered a 28-13 setback against Lowell (Ind.) High (6-3) … Carried the ball 14 times for 47 yards.

Official season stats: 94 total stops, 11 tackles for loss, 3 sacks, 2 passes broken up, 3 forced fumbles, 1 fumble recovery and 1 blocked punt … 116 carries for 738 yards and 13 touchdowns, plus 9 receptions for 216 yards and 3 scores.

Next game: Andrean has a bye in the first round of the Indiana Class 2 State Playoffs … Will face its first opponent Oct. 28.


Peyton Bowen

Recorded 9 tackles (1 for loss) and broke up a pass to help Denton (Texas) Guyer (7-0) to a 62-7 triumph over Little Elm (Texas) Braswell (2-5) … Guyer is ranked as the No. 16 team in the country by MaxPreps.

Unofficial season stats: 38 tackles, 2 tackles for loss, 1 pass broken up, 1 interception returned for a touchdown and 2 punt returns for scores.

RB Dylan Edwards

Ran for 144 yards and 3 touchdowns on just 12 carries in a 55-7 win for Derby (Kan.) High (5-2) over Wichita (Kan.) Maize South (3-4) … Also caught 1 pass for 48 yards and a score.

Official season stats: 112 carries for 1,001 yards and 17 touchdowns … 10 receptions for 92 yards and 2 scores … 1 kickoff return touchdown and 1 punt return score.

TE Cooper Flanagan
