Notre Dame verbal pledges from across the country are in the thick of their respective junior and senior seasons, and Blue & Gold is tracking their performances.

Here is a breakdown of how the Notre Dame commits fared over the weekend.

OL Sullivan Absher

Belmont (N.C.) South Point (6-0) rushed for 339 yards and 4 touchdowns — and only attempted 1 pass — in a 35-13 win against Shelby (N.C.) Crest (4-2).

Next game: at Kings Mountain (N.C.) High (6-0) Oct. 7.


LB Jaiden Ausberry

Baton Rouge (La.) University Lab (3-2) knocked off Port Allen (La.) High (2-3) 45-6.

Unofficial season stats: 38 total stops, 6.5 tackles for loss), 1 sack and 2 passes broken up … 5 rushes for 17 yards and 3 touchdowns (missing one game).

CB Micah Bell

Ran for 164 yards and 2 touchdowns on 29 carries despite a 35-14 loss for Houston The Kinkaid School (3-3) at the hands of St. Thomas Catholic (5-0).

Official season stats: 107 rushes for 656 yards and 7 touchdowns.

LB Drayk Bowen

Notched 5 tackles and forced 1 fumble in a 44-0 romp for Merrillville (Ind.) Andrean (5-2) over Munster (Ind.) High (3-5) … Ran 8 times for 77 yards and 2 scores, plus posted 1 catch for 23 yards and a touchdown.

Official season stats: 65 total stops, 10 tackles for loss, 3 sacks, 2 passes broken up, 3 forced fumbles, 1 fumble recovery and 1 blocked punt … 94 carries for 646 yards and 11 touchdowns, plus 7 receptions for 129 yards and 2 scores.

S Peyton Bowen

Returned a punt return 69 yards for a touchdown in a 56-7 triumph for Denton (Texas) Guyer (6-0) versus McKinney (Texas) Boyd (0-6) … Guyer is ranked as the No. 16 team in the country by MaxPreps.

Official season stats: 24 tackles, 1 tackle for loss, 1 interception returned for a touchdown and 1 punt returned for a score (missing one game).

RB Dylan Edwards

Ran 9 times for 150 yards and 4 touchdowns, plus had a 53-yard punt return score, to help Derby (Kan.) High (4-1) cruise to a 70-13 win against Wichita (Kan.) Haysville Campus (1-4).

Official season stats: 70 carries for 704 yards and 12 touchdowns … 1 kickoff return touchdown and 1 punt return score.

TE Cooper Flanagan

Concord (Calif.) De La Salle (3-2) had a bye.

WR Rico Flores Jr.

CB Christian Gray

Recorded 2 interceptions to help lead St. Louis De Smet (3-3) to a 37-20 victory over St. Louis University High (2-4).

WR Jaden Greathouse

Caught 1 pass for 16 yards and returned a punt 54 yards for a touchdown to help Austin (Texas) Westlake (5-0) to a 73-7 win over Del Valle (Texas) High (1-5) … Westlake is ranked as the No. 11 team in the nation by MaxPreps.

Official season stats: 18 receptions for 368 yards and 4 touchdowns … 3 punt return scores.

DL Devan Houstan

Notched 2 tackles and 1 sack in a 35-21 triumph for Hagerstown (Md.) St. James School (3-2) against Washington (D.C.) Maret (3-2).
