On Monday, the Notre Dame football communications team released its pregame injury report ahead of Saturday’s Week 7 clash against Stanford. Three Fighting Irish players are probable, three more are questionable and freshman safety Tae Johnson remains out with a chance to return this season as he recovers from his left foot injury.

Sophomore tight end Cooper Flanagan (left ankle), senior defensive lineman Gabriel Rubio (left foot) and junior right guard Billy Schrauth (right ankle) are listed as questionable.

“(Rubio) is feeling good, but his role is still to be determined,” coach Marcus Freeman said on Monday. “So, he’s questionable for this game. Billy Schrauth, with his foot, is still questionable for this game.”

Junior defensive lineman Joshua Burnham (left ankle), sophomore cornerback Christian Gray (right shoulder) and sophomore wide receiver Jordan Faison (ankle) are all probable to play against the Cardinal.

Also, on Monday, Freeman shared additional updates on four other players.

He officially ruled sophomore vyper Boubacar Traore out for the season with a torn ACL in his left knee. The 6-foot-4, 243-pound Traore made his first career start vs. Louisville on Sept. 30 in place of Jordan Botelho, who is also out for the season with a knee injury. With 1:13 left in the first quarter, Traore sustained a non-contact injury. He had a tackle for loss in that game before going down.

Traore had 11 tackles (8 solo), including 5 for loss, 3 sacks, a forced fumble, a pass breakup, and an interception returned for a touchdown on the season before the injury.

Freeman said sophomore starting left guard Sam Pendleton will be “full go” against Stanford after he did not finish the game against Louisville. Pendelton ended up suffering a concussion, according to Freeman.

“He’s back and expected to go,” Freeman said.

Freeman also said that starting center Ashton Craig had surgery on Friday. Craig, a junior, tore his ACL in his left knee on Sept. 14 against Purdue.

Lastly, Freeman said freshman quarterback CJ Carr was injured in practice a couple of weeks ago and had some elbow soreness.

“We’re trying to focus on other areas of improvement for him as he goes through rehab,” Freeman said. “Other than that, there are no other injuries.”

Notre Dame Football Injury Report vs. Stanford (Week 7)

Here is a detailed look at the Notre Dame football injury report for Week 7 against Stanford.

— Junior defensive lineman Joshua Burnham (left ankle) is probable for the game. He played four snaps on Sept. 30 against Louisville after missing the previous two games due to his injury.

— Sophomore wide receiver Jordan Faison (ankle) is probable for the game. Faison played 19 snaps and caught 2 passes for 17 yards. He missed the Northern Illinois and Purdue games due to an ankle injury suffered against Texas A&M.

— Sophomore tight end Cooper Flanagan (left ankle) is questionable for the game. He suffered an ankle injury on Sept. 23 against Miami (Ohio) and did not play against Lousiville.

— Sophomore cornerback Christian Gray (right shoulder) is probable for the game. Despite being in full uniform for the Louisville game, Freeman ruled him out pregame.

— Freshman safety Tae Johnson (left foot) is out for the game. He sustained a foot injury in his left fifth metatarsal toward the end of preseason camp, which required surgery. On Monday, Freeman said Johnson is in a “return to participation phase but is still a few weeks away from being able to help our team.”

Senior defensive lineman Gabriel Rubio (left foot) is questionable for the game. He fractured his second metatarsal during the first preseason camp practice on July 31, which required surgery.

— Junior offensive lineman Billy Schrauth (right ankle) is questionable for the game. On Sept. 23, Freeman said the Irish starting right guard “would be out for a few weeks” after injuring his right ankle on a run play against Purdue.
