Newsstand: ESPN names Notre Dame star one of 33 players to know for 2026 NFL Draft
On Wednesday at Blue & Gold, we detailed the Notre Dame and Ohio State 2025 NFL Draft prospects playing in the national championship game.
On Thursday, ESPN draft analyst Matt Miller gave a glimpse at the top draft-eligible prospects after next season. That would be any upperclassman who did not declare this year and as young as current sophomores. In his report, Miller featured Fighting Irish sophomore running back Jeremiyah Love.
“(Love’s) a powerful runner at 6-foot, 206 pounds but also has the long speed to run away from defenses — check out his 98-yard touchdown against Indiana in the first round of the playoffs,” Miller said. “Love’s combination of size and speed reminds me of Packers running back Josh Jacobs.”
The only current Ohio State player Miller recognized was sophomore safety Caleb Downs. He also noted former Rice offensive lineman Ethan Onianwa, who transferred to the Buckeyes this season.
