10/26/2024, 3:15:32 PMAccording to the Notre Dame football communications team, the Irish’s five recovered fumbles are tied with four other games for the second-most in a game in program history (and the first time since 1977 in a 19-9 win over Pitt). ND recovered six fumbles at Southern Cal in 1984.

Irish go three-and-out again but return to the field after a Navy muffed punt
10/26/2024, 1:42:55 PMAfter going 3-3 on third down to start the game, the Irish offense went three-and-out for the second straight drive. However, Navy’s punt returner, senior Isaiah Bryant, muffed the punt. Notre Dame will resume its drive on the Midshipman 40-yard line.

In its pregame picks segment, analyst Pat McAfee and guest picker, Philadelphia Phillies star and Indiana baseball player Kyle Schwarber, chose the Midshipmen to beat the Fighting Irish outright.
Desmond Howard, Nick Saban, Lee Corso and Kirk Herbstreit all sided with Notre Dame.
