Newsstand: Where Notre Dame players are projected in NFL.com seven-round mock draft

A few months ago, it seemed like a lock that Notre Dame cornerback Benjamin Morrison would be a first-round NFL Draft selection. Now, he’s being projected to go in the third round according to a mock draft published Monday from NFL.com’s Chad Reuter.
Morrison is projected to go No. 68 overall to the Las Vegas Raiders, which according to Reuter’s mock draft would make the Phoenix native the second-highest drafted Fighting Irish player in 2025. He has safety Xavier Watts going No. 48 overall to the Miami Dolphins.
Next up in his mock draft is tight end Mitchell Evans, who Reuter has pegged as a fifth-round pick to the Carolina Panthers. In the seventh-round, quarterback Riley Leonard is projected to the Indianapolis Colts and defensive tackle Rylie Mills to the New Orleans Saints.

Defensive tackle Howard Cross III, linebacker Jack Kiser and EDGE RJ Oben are other Notre Dame NFL Draft hopefuls.

Reuter has Notre Dame with five players drafted, a year after the Irish had seven players with their names called at the draft. Offensive tackle Joe Alt went No. 5 overall to the Las Angeles Chargers, and offensive tackle Blake Fisher and linebacker Marist Liufau were picked in the second and third rounds, respectively. Cornerback Cam Hart, linebacker J.D. Bertrand, running back Audric Estime and defensive end Javontae Jean-Baptiste were all drafted as well.
