Newsstand: Notre Dame ties powerhouse program with three players on NFL’s All-Under-25 team
The next generation of Notre Dame football players in the NFL have caught the league’s attention. On Friday, NFL.com writer Nick Shook featured three former Fighting Irish players on his NFL All-Under-25 team.
AFC North standouts safety Kyle Hamilton (Baltimore Ravens) and linebacker Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah (Cleveland Browns) earned the nods on defense. Los Angeles Rams running back Kyren Williams was one of two running backs to receive recognition.
Only Alabama had as many players listed in thanks to running back Jahmyr Gibbs, EDGE Will Anderson and cornerback Patrick Surtain II. Gibbs was a Georgia Tech transfer and only played one season with the Crimson Tide.
Former Cincinnati cornerback and current New York Jets cornerback Sauce Gardner also made the list. Irish defensive backs coach Mike Mickens recruited Gardner to the Bearcats and helped develop him into a freshman All-American.
The complete list of the NFL All-Under 25 team is here.
