FIVE SOUTH CAROLINA PLAYERS TO KNOW

WR Antwane Wells (#3): The 6-1, 207-pounder was fantastic in the Gamecocks’ wins over Tennessee and Clemson, catching 20 passes for 308 yards and 2 scores across both games. On the season, he’s hauled in 63 passes for 898 yards and 6 touchdowns.

QB Spencer Rattler (#7): Rattler’s performance against Tennessee was sensational, completing 30 of 37 passes for 438 yards and 6 touchdowns. He’s been up and down on the season, though, tossing 16 touchdowns to 11 interceptions.

WR Dakereon Joyner (#5): A redshirt senior from North Charleston, S.C., Joyner hasn’t been a key factor in the Gamecocks’ offense this season, and with several skill players out in this game, look for Joyner to be a focal point of the offense.

LB Brad Johnson (#19): The 6-2, 238-pounder and sixth-year player is a leader for the South Carolina defense. He’s played in 58 career games and totaled 152 tackles, 7.5 tackles for loss, 6 sacks and 2 interceptions.

DB Marcellas Dial (#24): When Notre Dame looks to attack South Carolina through the air, this young man will look to shut down Tyler Buchner and Co. The 6-0, 192-pounder has been a key piece of the Gamecocks’ defense at cornerback and has posted 41 tackles, 1 tackle for loss, 14 pass deflections and 3 interceptions this season.
