On3 updated its class of 2024 national rankings on Monday, and as always, there are moves up and moves down for Notre Dame commits.

The Irish have a total of 10 verbals in the On300 national rankings. Among the schools currently ranked inside the top 10 of the 2024 On3 Industry Ranking Football Team Recruiting Rankings, only Georgia (17), Michigan (11), USC (11), Penn State (10) have as many as Notre Dame.

The Irish have two commits who rank inside the top-100 national rankings. Glen Ellyn (Ill.) Glenbard South’s Cam Williams remains in the top-40 spots as the nation’s No. 35 overall prospect. He’s also the No. 7 wide receiver in America.

“When evaluating Williams you can’t help but drool over his athleticism,” On3 Scouting and Rankings Assistant Cody Bellaire said. “The long speed and explosiveness for his size is impossible to ignore. He lit the track on fire during his junior track and field season posing some impressive metrics. Williams ran a 10.86 100m dash, a 21.98 200m dash and jumped an absurd 24-foot-3 long jump this past track and field season.

“And at 6-1, 185 pounds with length, Williams is a vertical threat on every snap. Combine the physical and athletic traits with his natural ball tracking and ability to go up and win the 50-50 ball and you have yourself an absolute mismatch on the perimeter.”

Lufkin (Texas) High’s Kedren Young checks in at No. 92 nationally. No other website has Young even as a top-200 player in America. On3 ranks Young as the No. 6 running back in the land.

Katy (Texas) Paetow’s Loghan Thomas took a tumble, but On3 still ranks Thomas higher than any other outlet when looking at national rankings. He was the No. 101 overall player in the country but now sits at No. 169 nationally and is the No. 16 EDGE in the land.

A few Notre Dame players moved up in the rankings, including Fishers (Ind.) Hamilton Southeastern’s Styles Prescod, who moved up nine spots to No. 180 nationally. He raised one spot in the interior offensive lineman rankings to No. 9. On3 is the only website to rank Prescod nationally.

Roswell (Ga.) High’s Anthonie Knapp remains a steady riser in the On3 rankings. He moved up from No. 206 to No. 185 in the national rankings and is the No. 10 interior offensive lineman in America. 247 Sports, ESPN and Rivals all rank Knapp as a three-star prospect.

Charlotte (N.C.) Christian’s Bryce Young saw a nice bump up as well. His move was 42 spots up and now ranks as the No. 195 player in America. His EDGE position ranking moved up four spots. On3 is also the only website to rank Young nationally. 247 Sports and ESPN rank him as a three-star; Rivals lists him as a four-star prospect.

Notre Dame fans always have their eyes on quarterback rankings, and Saline (Mich.) High’s CJ Carr didn’t see his national ranking remove. He remains the No. 193 prospect, while the three other websites view him as a top-40 overall recruit.

Rounding out Notre Dame’s commits in the 2024 On300 is Charlotte (N.C.) Christian receiver Micah Gilbert (No. 242 overall), Fort Wayne (Ind.) North Side athlete Tae Johnson (No. 294 overall) and Hannibal (Mo.) High running back Aneyas Williams (No. 296). All three players had slides down as is often the case with players in the 200s but nothing too notable.
