Notre Dame football’s 2025 recruiting class is one step closer to enrolling at the university. On Thursday, college football programs could begin officially extending full-ride scholarship offers to rising high school seniors. The Fighting Irish took action by sending out those official offers to its 21 verbal commitments in the 2025 recruiting class.

Four-star offensive tackle commit Owen Strebig from Waukesha (Wis.) Catholic Memorial was the first commit to post their official offer on social media.

Here’s what the Notre Dame football official scholarship offer letter states:

Congratulations on your outstanding achievements so far in your football career. Additionally, your high level of success in the classroom, and the respect you have earned from your teachers, coaches and counselors is remarkable. I hope that this letter finds you prepared and ready to build on that exceptional reputation during your senior season. As a result of the outstanding impression you have made on our staff, we are formally offering you a full Football Grant-In-Aid Scholarship to attend the University of Notre Dame. The Grant-In-Aid Scholarship, beginning Summer 2025, consists of all of the items we can provide under NCAA regulations – outlined below:

1. Tuition and Registration Fees
2. Required Course-Related Fees
3. Room and Board
4. Required Textbooks
5. One of the highest Costs of Attendance in the Nation!

This award is contingent upon the satisfactory completion of your senior year; athletically and academically, while upholding a high standard of character and behavior. NCAA minimum academic standards must be satisfied and institutional admissions requirements must be met. This letter remains viable until such time as NCAA Rule 15.5.5 regarding squad limits (85 total) would appear to be compromised. Therefore, grants are only awarded based on availability.

We are looking forward to sharing with you and your family all of the reasons why the University of Notre Dame is the place for you. We will compete for Championships and help develop you into being the man you wish to become. I believe you have the ability to accomplish anything you set as a goal and the talent to be one of the best football players in the country. I look forward to coaching you at the University of Notre Dame.
