On3 updated its 2025 rankings Monday after a busy spring and summer of various camps and events, and while it’s not the most impactful rankings change of the cycle, there were some nice moves for Notre Dame commits. In total, Notre Dame has nine commits ranked in the On300.

Just when you thought Wallingford (Conn.) Choate Rosemary Hall’s Will Black‘s recruiting ranking couldn’t get any higher at On3, it rose again. He remains the No. 1 offensive tackle (the next highest OT ranking is Rivals at No. 7) and moves up to the No. 2 overall player in the country.

Black ran a 4.9 40-yard dash back in late May and checked in at 6-7.5, 283 pounds with a 6-9.75 wingspan at the On3 Elite Series a week later.

Coming into the day, Lucedale (Miss.) George County’s Deuce Knight ranked as the nation’s No. 54 overall player and No. 6 quarterback in America. He’s now the No. 28 recruit and No. 4 quarterback in America according to On3. He’s the highest-ranked passer who isn’t ranked a five-star at this point. Knight was named On3’s MVP at both the OT7 championship and Elite 11 Finals in June.

New Notre Dame commit JaDon Blair out of Winston-Salem (N.C.) Mount Tabor saw a healthy bump. His move in the national rankings was up 34 spots to No. 51, and he rose from the No. 8 to No. 3 spot in the safety rankings, all according to On3.

Green Bay (Wis.) Notre Dame De La Baie Academy’s James Flanigan showed off his outstanding athleticism at his 6-5.5, 245-pound size in track and field this past spring. He moved up 45 spots nationally to No. 92 overall and one spot in the tight end rankings up to No. 5.

The rankings changes for the rest of the Notre Dame commits in the On300 were mostly inconsequential. Tampa (Fla.) Berkeley Prep’s Dallas Golden moved up 12 spots in the national rankings and is the No. 10 safety, up three spots. On3 considers Golden a safety recruit, while the Irish are taking him as a cornerback.

Indianapolis Ben Davis’ Mark Zackery is moving slightly down, going from No. 108 to No. 122 nationally. He moved down two spots in the cornerback rankings to No. 14.

Much has been made in the past few days about a potential flip away from Notre Dame for Winter Garden (Fla.) West Orange’s Ivan Taylor, but for now, he’s committed to the Irish. He saw a slight slide in the On3 rankings, going from No. 120 to No. 132 and ranks as the No. 13 safety nationally.

Chicago Simeon EDGE Christopher Burgess‘ and Elmhurst (Ill.) York Community’s Joseph Reiff‘s national ranking of No. 172 and No. 269 remained the same, respectively.
