Pot of Gold Day Live Blog: Follow 2027 recruits reporting Notre Dame offers on St. Patrick’s Day

On Monday, Notre Dame football coach Marcus Freeman and his staff will open the floodgates in the 2027 recruiting cycle. March 17 kicks off the program’s annual Pot of Gold Day campaign, the day the Fighting Irish begin offering most high school sophomore football recruits.

This year is the event’s fifth edition, and Notre Dame could offer more than 70 recruits.

Note: All recruits mentioned are 2027 class prospects, and their rankings are via the On3 Industry Ranking unless otherwise noted.

6:25 p.m. ET: Tyrone (Ga.) Sandy Creek four-star recruit Corey Hadley reports an offer from the Irish. He’s the No. 69 overall player, No. 5 safety in the country and No. 8 recruit in Georgia in the class. Notre Dame plans to start recruiting him at wide receiver.

5:39 p.m. ET: Snohomish (Wash.) High linebacker Ty Tautolo adds a Notre Dame offer. He’s the second recruit from the Evergreen State to announce a Notre Dame offer on Pot of Gold Day.

5:13 p.m. ET: Libertyville (Ill.) High tight end Brock WIlliams reports a Pot of Gold Day offer from Notre Dame.

4:40 p.m. ET: Cincinnati Anderson cornerback Ashton “Ace” Alston announced an offer from the Irish. On3 named him its MVP from last weekend’s OT7 tournament. He is the No. 87 overall player, No. 8 cornerback nationally and No. 5 recruit in Ohio in 2027.

4:36 p.m. ET: West Linn (Ore.) High cornerback Josiah Molden reported a Notre Dame offer. He is the first recruit the Irish have offered from the Beaver State since the 2022 class.

4:22 p.m. ET: Blue & Gold noted that Cincinnati Anderson four-star linebacker Antwoine Higgins posted an offer from the Irish on Instagram. He’s the No. 57 overall player, No. 10 EDGE nationally and No. 2 recruit in Ohio in the class.

4:14 p.m. ET: Blue & Gold discovered Santa Ana (Calif.) Mater Dei cornerback Aaryn Washington reported a Notre Dame offer on his Instagram.

4:03 p.m. ET: A third offer from Bradenton (Fla.) IMG Academy is reported. The recipient is four-star linebacker Amarri Irvin. He’s the No. 50 overall player, No. 3 linebacker nationally and No. 4 recruit in Florida in 2027.

3:59 p.m. ET: Notre Dame defensive line coach Al Washington sent a scholarship offer to Marion (Mass.) Tabor Academy 2026 class defensive lineman Marcus Almada.

3:54 p.m. ET: A second prospect from Bellflower (Calif.) St. John Bosco reported a new Notre Dame offer. It’s defensive back Isala Wily-Ava.

3:50 p.m. ET: Blue & Gold found that Hesperia (Calif.) Oak Hills defensive lineman Sione Felila posted an offer from the Irish on Instagram.

3:46 p.m. ET: La Verne (Calif.) Damien safety Gavin Williams posts a Notre Dame offer on Pot of Gold Day.

3:41 p.m. ET: Blue & Gold saw that Chandler (Ariz.) Basha four-star offensive tackle Jake Hildebrand announced a Notre Dame offer on Instagram. He’s the No. 30 overall player, No. 1 offensive tackle in the nation and No. 1 recruit in Arizona in the class.

3:36 p.m. ET: Argyle (Texas) High wide receiver Julian Caldwell announced a Notre Dame offer.

3:33 p.m. ET: Blue & Gold discovered that Glassboro (N.J.) High four-star wide receiver Xavier Sabb announced a Notre Dame offer on Instagram. He’s the No. 35 overall player, No. 8 “athlete” in America and No. 1 recruit in the Garden State in 2027.

3:06 p.m. ET: Santa Ana (Calif.) Mater Dei cornerback Danny Lang announced an offer from the Irish.

2:58 p.m. ET: Lake Charles (La.) Sam Houston offensive tackle Albert Simien announces his Notre Dame offer. He’s the first recruit from Louisiana the Irish have offered in 2027.

2:48 p.m. ET: Lansdale (Pa.) Lansdale Catholic offensive tackle Terrance Smith lands an offer from the Irish.

2:48 p.m. ET: A second recruit from Las Vegas Bishop Gorman has reported a Notre Dame offer. This one is four-star cornerback Hayden Stepp, who ranks as the No. 33 overall player, No. 2 cornerback nationally and No. 2 prospect in Nevada.

2:38 p.m. ET: Notre Dame wide receivers coach Mike Brown goes to his home state of Virginia to offer Richmond Huguenot wide receiver Iveon Lewis.

2:35 p.m. ET: Offensive line offers are starting to roll out, and Humbe (Texas) Kingwood’s Kennedy Brown is the latest to report one.

2:31 p.m. ET: Las Vegas Bishop Gorman running back Terrance Grant announces his offer from the Irish.

2:28 p.m. ET: Hampton (Ga.) High defensive back Kamarui Dorsey picks up his Notre Dame offer on Pot of Gold Day.

2:19 p.m. ET: A second Chatsworth (Calif.) Sierra Canyon recruit has reported a Notre Dame offer on Monday. This one is defensive back Myles Baker.

2:18 p.m. ET: Argyle (Texas) Liberty Christian four-star linebacker Cooper Witten, the son of former Dallas Cowboys and University of Tennessee tight end Jason Witten, announces his Notre Dame offer. The younger Witten ranks as the No. 21 overall player, No. 1 linebacker in the nation and No. 5 recruit in Texas in the 2025 class. He will visit the Irish for the first time later this month.

2:17 p.m. ET: Milton (Ga.) High tight end Grant Haviland posts that he has an Irish offer.

2:10 p.m. ET: Rolesville (N.C.) High cornerback Marquis Bryant announces he’s received a Notre Dame offer. He’s the second recruit from his school to post an offer Monday, joining running back Amir Brown.

2 p.m. ET: Fort Gibson (Okla.) High offensive tackle Cooper Hackett posted his Notre Dame offer. He’ll be one to watch for the Irish.

1:59 p.m. ET: A second Bradenton (Fla.) IMG Academy player has reported a Notre Dame offer. It’s cornerback Censere Gaylord, who is originally from Mission Hills, Calif.

1:55 p.m. ET: Bradenton (Fla.) IMG Academy four-star wide receiver Osani Gayles reports his Notre Dame offer. The Tracy, Calif. product is the No. 45 overall player, No. 4 wide receiver in the Land and No. 2 recruit in Florida in the class.

1:53 p.m. ET: Elite Fort Lauderdale (Fla.) St. Thomas Aquinas four-star wide receiver Julius Jones Jr. reveals his Irish offer. He is the son of former Notre Dame All-America running back Julius Jones.

1:48 p.m. ET: Charlotte (N.C.) Providence Day recruit Griff Galloway adds a Notre Dame offer. The Irish are recruiting him on the defensive line.

1:40 p.m. ET: A third tight end has posted a Notre Dame offer. This goes to Saint Charles (Mo.) Francis Howell-Central’s Jack Brown, who can also play defensive end.

1:37 p.m. ET: Coatesville (Pa.) Coatesville Area four-star offensive lineman Maxwell Hiller announces his Notre Dame offer. He’s the No. 38 overall player, No. 1 interior offensive lineman in the country and No. 2 recruit in Pennsylvania.

1:24 p.m. ET: A fourth Tustin (Calif.) High recruit has reported an offer from the Irish. This one is 6-foot-3, 280-pound defensive lineman Jon Ioane.

1:20 p.m. ET: Notre Dame offers Penn State four-star running back commit Kemon Spell out of McKeesport (Pa.) High. Spell, the No. 14 overall player and No. 1 running back in the class, pledged to PSU on Aug. 2 when current Notre Dame running backs coach Ja’Juan Seider was an assistant with the Nittany Lions.

1:16 p.m. ET: Chattanooga (Tenn.) Baylor School running back David Gabriel-Georges picks up an offer from the Irish. He is originally from Quebec, Canada.

1:14 p.m. ET: The Irish stay active in Alabama, offering Mobile (Ala.) Williamson four-star linebacker Ellis McGaskin. The 6-foot-1, 190-pound thumper ranks as the No. 68 overall player, No. 6 linebacker in the country and No. 4 prospect in the Yellowhammer State.

1:14 p.m. ET: Las Vegas Arbor View’s Zac Fares is the second tight end recruit to announce a Notre Dame offer during this year’s Pot of Gold Day.

1:09 p.m. ET: The Irish dip into Chicagoland to offer Mount Carmel wide receiver Quentin Burrell. He also announced that he will unofficially visit Notre Dame on Friday.

1:03 p.m. ET: Corona (Calif.) Centennial EDGE Miles Schirmer announces a Notre Dame offer.

1:01 p.m. ET: Notre Dame offers Michigan State safety commit Khalil Terry, a 5-foot-9, 160-pounder from Tustin (Calif.) High. He’s the third recruit from Tustin to announce a Pot of Gold Day offer.

12:58 p.m. ET: The Irish head to Santa Ana (Calif.) Mater Dei to offer defensive lineman Montana Toilolo.

12:51 p.m. ET: Stone Mountain (Ga.) Stephenson four-star EDGE KJ Green reveals a Notre Dame offer. The 6-foot-5, 215-pounder is the second Peach State prospect to report one Monday. He ranks as the No. 3 recruit in Georgia, No. 4 EDGE nationally and No. 11 overall player in the class.

12:44 p.m. ET: The Irish offer a second 2027 recruit at Tustin (Calif.) High. This one is given to defensive lineman Jeremiah Williams.

12:38 p.m. ET: Notre Dame stays strong in North Carolina by offering Raleigh (N.C.) Cardinal Gibbons cornerback Xavier Hassan.

12:23 p.m. ET: Irish linebackers coach Max Bullough posted about Pot of Gold Day with a social media graphic that featured player cards of former Notre Dame thumpers Manti Te’o, Michael Stonebreaker and Jaylon Smith.

12:17 p.m. ET: Notre Dame defensive backs coach Mike Mickens recognizes Pot of Gold Day with a post that features cards of former Irish standouts Harrison Smith, Julian Love and Kyle Hamilton.

12:15 p.m. ET: Irish wide receivers coach Mike Brown posted about Pot of Gold Day with cards of Rocket Ismail, Tim Brown and Golden Tate. Three WRs have announced scholarship offers so far Monday.

11:59 a.m. ET: Anaheim (Calif.) Servite linebacker Isaiah Leilua announces his Pot of Gold Day offer. He also recognized the Irish earlier in the day.

11:54 a.m. ET: Notre Dame goes to the same high school that produced freshman All-America linebacker Kyngstonn Viliamu-Asa to offer Bellflower (Calif.) St. John Bosco four-star cornerback Jailen Hill. He is the No. 78 overall player, No. 7 cornerback nationally and No. 7 recruit in California in the class. Hill will reportedly travel to South Bend this spring.

11:36 a.m. ET: New Notre Dame running backs coach Ja’Juan Seider celebrates his first Pot of Gold Day by positing a graphic on social media with cards of Kyren Williams, Ricky Watters and Jerome Bettis.

11:35 a.m. ET: San Diego Lincoln EDGE Prince Tavizon announces a Notre Dame offer.

11:34 a.m. ET: Oxnard (Calif.) Pacifica linebacker Isaiah Phelps posts a Pot of Gold Day offer from the Irish.

11:34 a.m. ET: Former Irish defensive lineman Jim Flanigan posted a thank you on X (formerly known as Twitter) recognizing Notre Dame head coach Marcus Freeman, defensive line coach Al Washington and offensive line coach Joe Rudolph for offering his son Richie Flanigan.

11:26 a.m. ET: Notre Dame offers Springfield (Mass.) Springfield Central running back Isaiah Rogers. He participated in the program’s Irish Invasion camp last June. Rogers was also the first prospect from the East Coast to report a scholarship from Notre Dame on Pot of Gold Day.

11:20 a.m. ET: Irish quarterbacks coach Gino Guidugli highlighted Pot of Gold Day on social media by posting a graphic with cards of former Notre Dame quarterbacks Brady Quinn, Joe Theismann and Joe Montana.

10:57 a.m. ET: Duncanville (Texas) High four-star wide receiver Trenton Yancy announced an offer from Notre Dame. He checks in as the No. 9 player in the Lone Star State, the No. 6 wide receiver in America and the No. 65 overall player in the class.

10:54 a.m. ET: More recruits are reporting offers in California. Tustin (Calif.) High four-star linebacker Taven Epps is the latest. He’s the No. 51 overall player, No. 4 linebacker nationally and No. 5 recruit in California in the class.

10:37 a.m. ET: Fort Worth (Texas) Brewer cornerback Jerry Outhouse announces an Irish offer.

10:35 a.m. ET: Westlake Village (Calif.) Oaks Christian defensive lineman Alifeleti Tuihalamaka announces a Pot of Gold Day offer from Notre Dame. He is the younger brother of Fighting Irish defensive lineman Junior Tuihalamaka. Alifeleti attends the same school that produced former Notre Dame five-star quarterback Jimmy Clausen.

10:33 a.m. ET: Chandler (Ariz.) Basha four-star running back Noah Roberts is the second 2027 player from Arizona to add an offer from Notre Dame. He’s the No. 70 overall player, No. 4 running back nationally and No. 3 player in the Grand Canyon State in the class.

10:32 a.m. ET: Seattle O’Dea High School defensive lineman Tevita Nonu reports an offer from Notre Dame.

10:29 a.m. ET: Irish special teams coordinator Marty Biagi posted about Pot of Gold Day on X (formerly known as Twitter) with a special teams highlight video.

10:27 a.m. ET: Notre Dame defensive line coach Al Washington offers one of the Midwest’s elite: Muskegon (Mich.) High four-star Recarder Kitchen. He checks in as the No. 4 overall player, No. 2 EDGE in the country and No. 1 player in Michigan in 2027.

10:22 a.m. ET: Elite DeSoto (Texas) High running back Myson Johnson-Cook, On3’s No. 2 overall player in the 2027 class, posts his Irish offer. 10:05 a.m. ET: Four-star running back Landen Williams-Callis from Richmond (Texas) Randle reports a Notre Dame offer. He is the No. 17 overall player, No. 2 running back in the country and No. 4 recruit in Texas in 2027.

9:48 a.m. ET: Hattiesburg (Miss.) Oak Grove defensive lineman Deven Robertson posts a Notre Dame offer.

9:46 a.m. ET: Hueytown (Ala.) High defensive lineman Donivan Moore is the third 2027 prospect in the Yellowhammer State to pick up a Notre Dame offer.

9:35 a.m. ET: Warner Robins (Ga.) Northside defensive lineman Elijah Patmon is the first 2027 recruit in the Peach State to publicize a Notre Dame offer.

9:29 a.m. ET: Notre Dame offers elite Tampa (Fla.) Jesuit four-star linebacker Kaden Henderson, who is the No. 24 overall player, No. 2 linebacker nationally and No. 1 recruit in Florida in the 2027 class.

9:22 a.m. ET: Irish defensive analyst Jevaughn Codlin posts on X (formerly known as Twitter), “Happy Pot of Gold Day.”

9:21 a.m. ET: Alabaster (Ala.) Thompson EDGE Cam Pritchett is the first recruit in the Yellowhammer State to report a Notre Dame offer on Pot of Gold Day.

9:20 a.m. ET: Notre Dame dips into Arizona to offer Goodyear (Ariz.) Desert Edge wide receiver Zerek Sidney. He’s the first 2027 recruit in the Grand Canyon State and the first wide receiver to announce a scholarship from the Irish on Pot of Gold Day.

9:06 a.m. ET: Valliant (Okla.) High defensive lineman Kyng Golston announces a Notre Dame offer. He is the first 2027 recruit in the Sooner State to report a scholarship from the Irish.

9:03 a.m. ET: Notre Dame returns to California to offer Sutter (Calif.) High defensive lineman Troy Bowens.

9:02 a.m. ET: Indianapolis Lawrence North four-star wide receiver Monshun Sales posts about Pot of Gold Day. He announced his Notre Dame offer on March 9. Sales is the top 2027 recruit in the Hoosier State and the No. 27 overall player nationally.

9:01 a.m. ET: Notre Dame dips into Chicagoland to offer Brother Rice defensive lineman Brayden Parks. He will unofficially visit campus later this spring.

9 a.m. ET: Charlotte (N.C.) West Charlotte linebacker Michael Griffin adds a Notre Dame offer on Pot of Gold Day.

8:57 a.m. ET: Hesperia (Calif.) Oak Hills defensive lineman Sione Felila is up early on the West Coast to announce his Notre Dame offer. He is the first 2027 recruit from California to post his Irish offer on Pot of Gold Day.

8:53 a.m. ET: Danville (Ky.) Boyle County’s Seneca Driver is the first 2027 class tight end recruit to report a Notre Dame offer. He is a towering 6-foot-7, 210 pounds.

8:46 a.m. ET: Cincinnati Winton Woods sophomore Jaylen Mercer is the first prospect in Ohio to report a Notre Dame offer. On3 lists the 6-foot-3½, 250-pounder as a tight end, but the Irish are recruiting him as a defensive lineman.

8:39 a.m. ET: Green Bay (Wis.) Notre Dame de la Baie Academy defensive lineman Richie Flanigan reports his offer from the Fighting Irish. He’s the brother of 2025 class tight end signee James Flanigan and the son of former Notre Dame defensive lineman Jim Flanigan. Read more about the offer here.

8:30 a.m. ET: Boca Raton (Fla.) West Boca Raton defensive lineman Jamar Thompson is the first 2027 recruit from the Sunshine State to announce a Notre Dame offer.

8:21 a.m. ET: Irish coach Marcus Freeman posts about Pot of Gold Day with a brief voiceover from ESPN’s Rece Davis.

8:20 a.m. ET: Notre Dame director of recruiting operations Becca Sites posts about Pot of Gold Day.

8:17 a.m. ET: Raleigh (N.C.) Millbrook EDGE Rashad Streets is the second recruit from his high school to reveal an Irish offer on Pot of Gold Day.

8:03 a.m. ET: Louisville (Ky.) Christian Academy linebacker Garyon Hobbs is the first prospect in the Bluegrass State to report a Notre Dame offer on Pot of Gold Day.

8:02 a.m. ET: Raleigh (N.C.) Millbrook linebacker Quinton Cypher is the second recruit in the Tar Heel State and the second linebacker nationally to announce an Irish offer on Pot of Gold Day.

7:57 a.m. ET: Notre Dame went down to Indianapolis for its first in-state Pot of Gold Day offer. This one is to Franklin Central EDGE Jayce Brewer.

7:52 a.m. ET: Four-star defensive lineman Ben’Jarvius Shumaker out of Ackerman (Miss.) Choctaw County is the first recruit in the Central Time Zone to announce a Notre Dame offer. He’s the No. 9 overall player in the 2027 class.

7:39 a.m. ET: Rolesville (N.C.) High’s Amir Brown is the first running back to report a Notre Dame offer. He will unofficially visit campus for the first time this spring.

7:33 a.m. ET: Recruits in the Eastern Time Zone are rising. Chesterfield (Va.) Lloyd C. Bird four-star EDGE Chris Whitehead posted his Notre Dame offer. He’s the No. 13 overall player in the 2027 class, per the On3 Industry Ranking.

3:08 a.m. ET: Out on the West Coast, Sammamish (Wash.) Eastside Catholic linebacker Liufau Loumoli hardly wasted any time to report his Notre Dame scholarship offer. The four-star recruit revealed it eight minutes into St. Patrick’s Day on the West Coast.

8:22 p.m. ET (Sunday): Irish 2026 class four-star quarterback Noah Grubbs posts about Pot of Gold Day on social media. Fellow pledges offensive linemen Sullivan Garvin, Tyler Merrill and Ben Nichols and cornerback Chaston Smith follow his lead by also recognizing it on X (formerly known as Twitter). Smith was the first of about 85 recruits to report a new Irish offer during last year’s Pot of Gold Day.
