Notre Dame offers elite 2025 quarterback George MacIntyre
It’s Pot of Gold Day for Notre Dame, and the Fighting Irish staff has been busy expanding the class of 2025 recruiting board.
One of the staff’s new offers went out to Nashville (Tenn.) Brentwood Academy’s George MacIntyre, who ranks as the nation’s No. 30 overall prospect and No. 3 passer according to the 2025 On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.
Notre Dame joins the likes of Vanderbilt, Tennessee, Alabama, LSU, Georgia, Florida State, Michigan and many others on his long offer sheet.
Vanderbilt and Tennessee are the top two contenders for MacIntyre according to the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine (RPM), respectively.

According to a report from On3’s Chad Simmons earlier this week, MacIntyre has spring visits locked in with Georgia, Clemson, LSU, Alabama and Michigan. It’s likely that MacIntyre gets up to South Bend in the coming weeks as well.
MacIntyre’s uncle is Mike MacIntyre, who was the Colorado Buffaloes’ head coach from 2013-18 and currently serves as Florida International’s head coach. His father, Matt MacIntyre, played collegiately at Western Kentucky.
He’s also the grandson of former Vanderbilt head coach George MacIntyre, who coached the Commodores from 1979-1985
On3 has not assigned national rankings yet, but MacIntyre has received an early four-star grade.

MacIntyre’s On3 Scouting Summary
Tall, strong-armed passer who looks like one of the top quarterback prospects in the 2025 cycle early on. Has a slender build, checking in around 6-foot-5, 180-pounds. Flashes a quick, tight throwing motion with the ability to drive the ball downfield with ease. Comfortable delivering to multiple levels of the field from within the pocket or outside of structure. Capable of placing high-level throws into tight windows. More of a pass-first quarterback, but shows encouraging pocket movement and improvisational skills as a first-year varsity starter. Posted an efficient sophomore season while playing against good competition. Doubles as a top basketball player with Power 5 offers on the hardwood. Will need to continue adding mass and strength to his frame. Projects as one of the top 2025 quarterback prospects
