Live updates: Notre Dame signees in the All-American Bowl
SAN ANTONIO, Texas — Blue & Gold is inside the Alamodome for the All-American Bowl, a prestigious postseason all-star game for the top high school seniors across the country. Notre Dame has five players in the game.

Note: Notre Dame signees Charles Jagusah, Kenny Minchey and Rico Flores Jr. were committed to playing in the game but aren’t due to injury.
The game will kick off at 1 p.m. ET and can be seen live on NBC and Peacock.
First quarter updates
• Before kickoff, the players were at midfield to show their support to Buffalo Bills safety Damar Hamlin, who suffered a serious injury earlier this week.
• Bowen gets the start for the West team on defense. He is out there now.
• Bowen combines for a tackle on the East team’s first offensive drive. The East team — currently lead by five-star quarterback Dante Moore — is inside the red zone.
SCORE: East team takes a 7-0 lead with 8:37 left in the first quarter.
• Vernon and Shuler get the start for the East team. Absher is the starting right guard for the West team.
• On the first play of the West team’s possession, they go for a trick play, which is fumbled and results in a turnover. The East team is set up in the red zone, and Dante Moore finds Brandon Inniss for a touchdown on the ensuing play. Notre Dame’s Micah Bell was beat on the fade route for the score.
SCORE: East team takes a 14-0 with 8:22 left in the first quarter.
• Absher just got beat inside that result in a tackle for loss for the West team. He had a nice block downfield to help spring a run a couple plays later.
• Shuler looks fantastic — think he has a great body type. He could be a sleeper to play as a true freshman.

END OF FIRST QUARTER: East leads 14-0 but the West squad is in the red zone.
• Absher is getting into more of a groove from his right guard spot in the run game.
Second quarter updates
SCORE: West team gets on the board with a field goal but trails 14-3 with 11:40 left in the 2nd quarter.
• No safety help but Bowen got peaking in the backfield — the East team’s running back ran down the middle of the field for a touchdown. Again, Bowen could’ve done a better job in coverage but there was no safety in sight.
SCORE: East team leads 21-3 with 11:19 left in the 2nd quarter.
SCORE: East team leads 24-3 after a 50-yard field goal midway through the 2nd quarter.
• West team’s punt is partially blocked. Shuler is returning punts, picked it up and returned it for a positive gain. East team is already inside West territory.
• Well, that was tough to see from a Notre Dame perspective. Former Irish targets Dante Moore and Carnell Tate connect for a touchdown — and Tate beat out ND signee Micah Bell in man coverage. Bell was in decent position but the ball was perfectly thrown. No safety help.
SCORE: East team leads 31-3 with 6:27 left in the first half.
SCORE: East team leads 34-3 with 2:01 left in the 2nd quarter.
• Interception! Vernon picks off the screen pass with just one hand! Incredible play to read the screen by Vernon. He also made a similar interception in practice this week.

Third quarter updates
SCORE: East team leads 41-3 with 6:55 left in the 4th quarter. UCLA signee Dante Moore tosses his fourth touchdown. Bowen missed a tackle that resulted in the East team marching down the field.
• Shuler just made a tackle. He has a couple on the day. He hasn’t had a whole lot to do in this blowout score for his team.
SCORE: West finally gets on the board. East team leads 41-10 with 2:05 left in the third quarter.
• Bell had a tackle on the last play of the third quarter.
Fourth quarter updates
• Bowen assists on a tackle on the first play of the fourth quarter.
SCORE: Another touchdown for the East. 49-10 game here early in the fourth. No notable stats to report from a Notre Dame standpoint.
• Notre Dame stats after three quarters: Bell 2 tackles; Drayk Bowen 3 tackles; Shuler 2 tackles, Vernon 1 interception for 21 yards.
SCORE: East takes a 55-10 lead with 4:30 left in the contest.
