LOOK: Notre Dame recruits on campus for Stanford game
There were a handful of top recruits on campus for Notre Dame’s rivalry clash with Stanford on Saturday night. And pregame, Blue & Gold photographer Chad Weaver took photos of several notable recruits.
In the image above, you’ll see Saline (Mich.) High quarterback and Notre Dame class of 2024 pledge CJ Carr, wearing a custom white hoodie with an image on it. It may be a bit hard to make out, but the image is a graphic that says “Fantastic 4 Change is coming” on it with visit photos of four Notre Dame recruits from St. Louis.
Carr is a vocal recruiter for the Irish in the 2024 cycle and knew who was coming on campus this weekend — the “Fantastic 4” of 2024 wide receivers Jeremiah McClellan and Ryan Wingo as well as 2023 Irish commits Christian Gray, a four-star cornerback, and Jeremiyah Love, a four-star running back who committed to Notre Dame earlier in the day.
Below you can view the original graphic that Gray tweeted out Sept. 13.

A key visitor for the weekend is Portsmouth (Va.) Churchland’s Brandyn Hillman, the No. 415 player and No. 17 “athlete” according to the 2023 On3 Consensus. Hillman is on campus for his official visit. North Carolina, Tennessee and Virginia Tech are among the other programs in pursuit of Hillman. He and his mother are pictured in the photo below.
Gray (far left), Wingo (middle left), Carr (middle right) and Merrillville (Ind.) Andrean linebacker and class of 2023 Notre Dame commit Drayk Bowen are pictured in the photo below.
A shot of Gray, the No. 69 overall recruit and No. 6 cornerback per the 2023 On3 Consensus. This weekend is Gray’s eighth overall visit to campus. He committed to the Irish over LSU, Ohio State and USC over the summer.
Below is a photo of Charlotte (N.C.) Christian class of 2024 EDGE Bryce Young, the son of Fighting Irish legend Bryant Young. The elder Young was elected to the 2022 Pro Football Hall of Fame.

RELATED: New commit for Notre Dame Saturday afternoon
Marcus Freeman and the Notre Dame football program landed a major commitment on Saturday, with St. Louis Christian Brothers class of 2023 running back Jeremiyah Love announcing his decision to pick the Fighting Irish.
Love’s first offer came during the summer of 2021 from Missouri, but his recruiting process didn’t blow up until a couple months after his junior season concluded. Notre Dame offered Love a scholarship Feb. 28, and he visited South Bend for the first time a couple weeks later. He’s visited Notre Dame a total of four times, including Saturday.
He never formally announced a group of top schools, but Love took official visits to Alabama, Michigan, Notre Dame and Texas A&M this past summer. It was the latter two schools that he ultimately decided between, and the Fighting Irish won out.
“Notre Dame just has more to offer academic-wise,” Love told BlueandGold.com before announcing his decision. “My family loves both Texas A&M and Notre Dame, but I think this is the best fit for us. Notre Dame can offer me more in the long run.”
