Commit Tracker: Notre Dame QB commit Noah Grubbs shines in Week 13 postseason win

For the second time this season, Noah Grubbs had a handful. In Lake Mary (Fla.) High’s first-round playoff game Friday night, Notre Dame football’s 2026 class quarterback commit had five passing touchdowns to lead the Rams to a convincing 49-14 victory.

Each week during this high school football season, Blue & Gold reports on how each Notre Dame Fighting Irish commit and their teams perform. Grubbs was one of 19 pledges a part of postseason play last week.

Here is how he and the other 18 Notre Dame commits that competed from Nov. 15-16 in Week 13 fared.

Four-star QB Noah Grubbs (Notre Dame 2026 commit)

Completed 11-14 passes for 239 yards and 5 touchdowns in Lake Mary (Fla.) High’s (9-2) 49-14 victory over DeLand (Fla.) High (5-6) in the regional quarterfinal of the Florida Class 7A state tournament.

Next game: vs. Port Orange (Fla.) Spruce Creek (8-3) in the regional semifinals of the Florida Class 7A state tournament Nov. 22.

Season stats: 11 games | 155-256, 2,251 yards, 30 TD, 7 INT; 16 carries, 62 yards, 3 rushing TD.

Three-star CB Cree Thomas

Tabbed 2 interceptions (returned for 37 yards), 7 solo tackles, including 0.5 for loss, in Phoenix Brophy’s (9-2) 54-0 victory against Anthem (Ariz.) Boulder Creek (4-7) in the first round of the Arizona Class 6A state tournament.

Next game: vs. Gilbert (Ariz.) Perry (6-5) at Central High School in the quarterfinal round of the Arizona Class 6A state tournament Nov. 22.

Season stats: 12 games | 34 tackles (31 solo), 2.0 TFL, 1 sack, 2 pass breakups, 2 caused fumbles, 2 fumble recoveries; 18 punt returns, 212 yards; 1 kick return, 17 yards.

Four-star LB Thomas Davis Jr. (Notre Dame 2026 commit)

Made 5 tackles, including 2 for loss, 1 pass breakup and an interception returned for a touchdown in Matthews (N.C.) Weddington’s (10-0) 54-7 victory against Kannapolis (N.C.) A.L. Brown (5-6) in the first round of the North Carolina Class 4A state tournament.

Next game: vs. Monroe (N.C.) Sun Valley (9-2) in the second round of the North Carolina Class 4A state tournament Nov. 22.

Three-star WR Dylan Faison (Notre Dame 2026 commit)

Had 4 catches for 130 yards and 2 touchdowns and 6 tackles (2 solo) in Boca Raton (Fla.) Saint Andrew’s (6-5) 31-10 win against Miami Archbishop Carroll (6-5) in the regional quarterfinal of the Florida Class 1A state tournament.

Next game: at Hollywood (Fla.) Chaminade-Madonna (9-2) in the regional semifinal of the Florida Class 1A state tournament Nov. 22

Season stats: 10 games | 53 receptions, 764 yards, 9 touchdowns; 28 rushes, 89 yards, 2 touchdowns; 8 punt returns, 238 yards, 1 TD, 8 kick returns, 231 yards; Completed 1-5 passes, 8 yards; 29 tackles (10 solo), 3 interceptions, 1 blocked field goal.

Four-star DB Dallas Golden

Totaled 17 carries for 128 yards and 2 touchdowns in Tampa (Fla.) Berkeley Prep’s (6-4) 22-15 win against Clearwater (Fla.) Calvary Christian (6-3) in the regional quarterfinal of the Florida Class 2A state tournament. Also had 2 catches for 4 yards and 2 punt returns for 8 yards.

Four-star WR Antavious Richardson

Plays quarterback … Connected on 5-11 passes for 77 yards and had 9 carries for 103 yards and 1 touchdown in Greenville (Ga.) High’s (3-6) 44-14 loss to Montezuma (Ga.) Macon County (7-4) in the first round of the Georgia Class A, Division II state tournament. Also had 9 tackles (6 solo), including 2 for loss.

Three-star RB Nolan James Jr.

Registered 12 carries for 103 yards and 2 touchdowns and a 5-yard catch in Wayne (N.J.) DePaul Catholic’s (9-1) 45-14 victory over Haddonfield (N.J.) Paul VI (7-3) in the quarterfinals of the New Jersey Non-Public B Group playoffs.

Next game: vs. Absecon (N.J.) Holy Spirit (9-1) in the semifinals of the New Jersey Non-Public B Group playoffs Nov. 22.

Three-star WR Jerome Bettis Jr. 

Snagged 8 passes for 70 yards and 2 touchdowns and had 3 solo tackles in College Park (Ga.) Woodward Academy’s (8-3) 21-20 win over Lovejoy (Ga.) High (5-6) in the first round of the Georgia Class 5A state tournament.

Next game: vs. Canton (Ga.) Sequoyah (10-1) in the second round of the Georgia Class 5A state tournament Nov. 22.

Season stats: 11 games | 31 receptions, 567 yards, 7 TD | 41 tackles (33 solo), 1 TFL, 1 pass breakup, 2 interceptions, 2 forced fumbles.

Four-star DL Joseph Reiff

Recorded 4 tackles, including 2 for loss, and 1 quarterback hurry in Elmhurst (Ill.) York Community’s (10-2) 34-15 victory over Gurnee (Ill.) Warren Township (7-5) in the Illinois Class 8A state tournament quarterfinals.
