Fans emptied the stands, the players cleared the field, and St. Xavier junior linebacker Kobe Clapper became one of the few left remaining on the Ballaban Field turf after a gut-wrenching defeat to crosstown archrival Cincinnati Archbishop Moeller on Friday night.  The 6-foot-2, 195-pound Clapper stood there with his arms at his side, intently listening to defensive coordinator Jake Brodbeck's message. Whatever Brodbeck said to Clapper stayed between them before they exited RDI Stadium. Clapper’s Week 5 performance did all the talking anyway.
