Newsstand: Two Notre Dame commits among 'biggest risers' in 2026 Rivals300 ranking

The previous On3 rankings team of Charles Power and Cody Bellaire has taken over the Rivals rankings as part of the company’s national branding change. And the initial 2026 Rivals300 ranking (which was previously the On300) was released on Monday morning.
Rivals listed its 10 biggest risers in the update, which included two Notre Dame commits. Ohio State and Georgia were the only other schools to have two commits on the list.
And interestingly enough, the Irish verbals both attend the same high school — Wyndmoor (Pa.) La Salle College. Those prospects are Joey O’Brien and Grayson McKeogh, who took massive rankings leaps.
O’Brien was the No. 99 overall player and No. 8 safety in America, but he rose to No. 47 overall and No. 3 at his position. He committed to the Irish over Clemson, Michigan, Oregon and Penn State on June 20.
“Nobody has proven more this offseason than Joey O’Brien,” said Rivals national scout Cody Bellaire. “One of the biggest questions with O’Brien for us was his ability to run and cover ground. And not only was he able to confirm that can he run with some of the top pass catchers in the country, he can dominate in man coverage as well.

McKeogh’s rise was meteoric, going from the No. 181 overall prospect and No. 17 offensive tackle nationally to the No. 13 player and No. 4 tackle. McKeogh picked Notre Dame over Penn State and Texas on June 18.
“Grayson McKeogh is a prospect that we’ve been high on as a developmental offensive tackle for some time,” Rivals director of scouting and rankings Charles Power said. “He has an outstanding frame and is a really fantastic and functional athlete on film, playing tackle and defensive line for his high school.”
Bellaire and Power shared more insight on both prospects.
