Newsstand: Notre Dame defensive back recruit Nick Reddish releases final five, commitment date

About two days after his third unofficial college recruiting visit to Notre Dame concluded, Charlotte (N.C.) Independence defensive back Nick Reddish announced his top schools and a commitment date.
On Sunday, the three-star recruit from the Tar Heel State released a final five-school list that includes the Fighting Irish, Indiana, North Carolina, Virginia Tech and Wisconsin. The 5-foot-11, 180-pound Reddish will announce his verbal commitment on July 11.
According to the On3 Industry Ranking — a proprietary algorithm that compiles ratings and rankings from all four primary recruiting media services — Reddish is the No. 25 recruit in North Carolina, the No. 50 safety nationally and the No. 543 overall player in the 2026 class.
Before narrowing his recruitment, Reddish held scholarship offers from 11 other Power Four schools, including Southern Cal, Duke, Tennessee, Ole Miss and Missouri. His brother, Quentin Reddish, is a sophomore safety for the Virginia Tech Hokies.
The younger Reddish will officially visit his five finalists, including a trip to South Bend, which will occur on the weekend of June 13.

Notre Dame Quote of the Weekend
“It’s a credit to him for the work he’s put in. It’s been a lot of hard work. A credit to the people around him — his family, team doctors, the team, his teammates — for supporting him and helping him as he has climbed through this difficult journey to be in the position he’s in.
“Let alone to be back on the team, but to be playing at a high level. And so, obviously, all credit goes to him, but I want to make sure you give credit to the people around him who have helped him.”
