The first group of Notre Dame football recruits officially visiting this month arrived on campus Friday morning. From June 2-4, the Irish host four 2024 targets and two verbal commits on their official visits.

Blue & Gold observed the six recruits and their families enter the Guglielmino Athletics Complex for the start of their official visits. Here are photos of each one and a few notes on their arrival.

Four-star OT Guerby Lambert

West Roxbury (Mass.) Catholic Memorial offensive tackle Guerby Lambert was the fourth recruit to walk off the bus toward “The Gug” for his official visit. The 6-foot-7, 285-pound Lambert appeared surprised by the attention as he embarked on his first college recruiting visit outside his home state.

Lambert had two guests on his visit.

The On3 Industry Ranking — a proprietary algorithm that compiles ratings and rankings from all four primary recruiting media services — considers Lambert as the No. 53 overall player, No. 5 offensive tackle and No 1 prospect in Massachusetts. He has a 94.65 rating.

In On3’s own rankings, Lambert is the No. 32 overall player, No. 5 offensive tackle and No 1 prospect in Massachusetts. On3 gave him a 96 rating.

Pescod is the No. 610 overall player, No. 43 interior offensive lineman and No. 6 prospect in Indiana, per the On3 Industry Ranking. He has an 87.74 rating.

Three-star safety Paul Mencke

Paul Mencke Jr. from Cibolo (Texas) Samuel Clemens High followed Lambert off the bus. The 6-2, 174-pound Mencke smiled and posed for photos as he returned to Notre Dame for the second time.

The On3 Industry Ranking sees the 6-2, 174-pound Mencke as a three-star recruit and No. 409 overall player, No. 35 safety and No. 69 prospect in Texas. He has an 88.94 rating.

However, in On3’s own rankings, the Cibolo (Texas) Samuel Clemens product is a four-star recruit and No. 138 overall player, No. 10 safety and No. 27 prospect in Texas. On3 gave him a 92 rating.

Mencke’s On3 NIL Valuation annual value is $27,000.

Four-star running back Kedren Young

The 5-11, 225-pound Kedren Young stepped off the bus last without his name tag lanyard to properly identify him. Still, the Lufkin (Texas) High product looked focused heading into his first Notre Dame visit.
