The Irish have a total of 10 verbals in the On300 national rankings. Among the schools currently ranked inside the top 10 of the 2024 On3 Industry Ranking Football Team Recruiting Rankings, only Georgia (17), Michigan (11), USC (11), Penn State (10) have as many as Notre Dame.
The Irish have two commits who rank inside the top-100 national rankings. Glen Ellyn (Ill.) Glenbard South’s Cam Williams remains in the top-40 spots as the nation’s No. 35 overall prospect. He’s also the No. 7 wide receiver in America.
“When evaluating Williams you can’t help but drool over his athleticism,” On3 Scouting and Rankings Assistant Cody Bellaire said. “The long speed and explosiveness for his size is impossible to ignore. He lit the track on fire during his junior track and field season posing some impressive metrics. Williams ran a 10.86 100m dash, a 21.98 200m dash and jumped an absurd 24-foot-3 long jump this past track and field season.
“And at 6-1, 185 pounds with length, Williams is a vertical threat on every snap. Combine the physical and athletic traits with his natural ball tracking and ability to go up and win the 50-50 ball and you have yourself an absolute mismatch on the perimeter.”
