What’s next for Irish offensive line recruiting? Mike Singer discusses

“Knapp committed to Notre Dame and is listed at 6-4, 265 pounds, and that’s not a very big for an offensive tackle, which is the position he’s listed at. The interesting thing about him is that he moves like a tackle; it translates well to the next level. He could be a tackle in college and move to guard at the NFL, if he makes it there. I think that’s definitely possible, but if I were to guess right now, I think he’ll end up as a guard at Notre Dame.

“They also have Peter Jones committed to Notre Dame; he’s listed at 6-5, 285 pounds. He’s currently bigger than Knapp, but he projects as an interior player. The best way to describe him is a road grader. So, they have two interior offensive line commits [in my opinion], and the question becomes, what’s next?

“The Irish have a big-time offensive lineman on campus right now in Kevin Heywood. He’s listed at 6-7, 295 pounds; he’s massive. That is one big dude. He’s on campus, and Monday night, we first reported that Guerby Lambert will be at Notre Dame for the spring game. And the Irish are targeting Andrew Sprague out of Kansas City.”
