In a weekly YouTube live show at Blue & Gold, recruiting writers Mike Singer and Kyle Kelly give the latest on Notre Dame’s recruiting efforts.

They start the show by breaking down the latest wide receiver recruiting developments in the 2025 class before moving to discussing the news of a Michigan tight end commit scheduling a Notre Dame official visit. They also talked about the latest in the 2025 class overall.

It is not a show to miss for Fighting Irish fans. It aired live on the Blue & Gold YouTube page Thursday at 10:30 a.m. ET. Watch a replay of this week’s show in the video player below.

Top-100 recruit committed to Michigan visiting Notre Dame for the Florida State game

The Notre Dame football program has its sights set on building the best tight end tandem in the 2025 recruiting cycle. And when Florida State comes to South Bend Nov. 9, the Fighting Irish will look to make progress toward completing it.

On Wednesday, Blue & Gold learned that Center Valley (Pa.) Southern Lehigh four-star recruit Andrew Olesh, a Michigan commit, will officially visit Notre Dame in Week 11. It will be the 6-foot-5, 215-pounder’s first time reporting a recruiting trip to South Bend.

According to the On3 Industry Ranking — a proprietary algorithm that compiles ratings and rankings from all four primary recruiting media services — Olesh is the No. 71 overall player, No. 3 tight end nationally and No. 2 prospect in Pennsylvania in the 2025 class.

In On3’s rankings, he holds the same spot at his position and in the Keystone State. However, he is the No. 47 overall player in the class.

The Irish already hold a verbal commitment from four-star recruit James Flanigan, the On3 Industry Ranking’s No. 113 overall player and No. 7 tight end in 2025. The Green Bay (Wis.) Notre Dame de la Baie senior is the son of former University of Notre Dame defensive lineman Jim Flanigan, who shined for the football program in the 1990s.

Like Olesh, On3 also loves how the younger Flanigan projects at the next level. He’s the No. 93 overall player and No. 5 tight end in the class in its rankings. On3 and the On3 Industry Ranking both slot Flanigan as the top 2025 prospect in Wisconsin.
